Which movie, out of the following?

Hmmm I saw "I love you Man" and it was good, cute. I heard hangover is really funny tho. I'm not sure which way to vote.

Ok just watched all of the trailers. I will vote The Hangover.

The Hangover: A++
Funny People: Didn't see, got horrible reviews
Role Models: B
I Love You, Man: B

Exactly the same for me.

The Hangover really is worth all the hype. It's an insta-classic.

Although it was a toss up between The Hangover and Role Models, I went Role Models, because of the aforementioned reason Eggs said -- Paul Rudd, who's on his a-game for this one. Plus, it's got fucking McLovin in it, and it's just damned funny.

"Rub-a-dub-dub!"

rub a dud dud

Rub a dub a dick.

I've only seen Hangover, but it's a lot funnier than I expected. See that one. I've had to see it a couple times for work-related reasons, and it holds up very well.

HAS GAGH MADE HIS DECISION YET?

::::HOLDS BREATH::::

The decision will be based on the poll, as I said, so I will pop into town next week and pick up The Hangover. Then I will provide feedback here.

Though Role Models came joint last, I will also pick that up, if they have it in stock.

THE MINE FIELD HAS SPOKEN.

Role Models is premiering on HBO right now, but I'm watching the SAG Awards instead. It will play another 20 times this week on the various HBO channels.

I downloaded Hangover today. I will watch it at some point.

I would like to swap spit with Paul Rudd. Thank you and good night.

I went to the video store tonight and Also got The Hangover. Gagh do you watch your DVD's on your xbox? We could totally watch it together at the same time! [/stalker]

Yeah, I was watching Role Models last night, and I laughed more with that one than the Hangover, though I'm not denying the Hangover is an instant classic.

Enjoy the movies, Gagh! :)

And LC, when I get an X-Box we can watch "films" together, too. <wg>

Been watching Role Models on HBO as well, though I've only seen bits and pieces of it. Still very funny, but I contend that The Hangover is way funnier.

No, but I guess I could. My X-Box doesn't upscale, though. I'm aware, however, I have you on my friends list and I haven't uttered a word to you, which is a bit silly when I have a wireless headset.

I took the Hangover back and never watched it. I have thought about watching movies with people that way, but it seems really wierd, and then what if I want a snack or I hear them eating? I'd be like, "Shut up I"m watching a movie!"

Also Gagh would be watching a PAL DVD and you would be watching an NTSC DVD meaning Gagh's would 4% faster and he'd get ahead of you UNLESS Gagh was watching on Blu-Ray in which case he'd get it at the proper slower speed.

THANKS PAL SPEEDUP.

Just as a relate to Gagh's other thread on that Chinese guy Peter Chao on youtube. Doesn't the character in the movie totally remind you of the kid? Did one of them rip off the other? That can't be coincidence...people who have seen the film know what I'm talking about, I don't want to spoil any funny.

Here's an update:

I have watched both The Hangover & Role Models in the last few days. Both are, to my surprise, genuinely funny movies. The Hangover does not attempt to be more than the sum of its parts, and just goes for full on humour. Role Models has another dimension, in that it actually has quite a pleasant main plot running through the full on humour.

Star Turns are Ed Helms in The Hangover, and Jane Lynch in Role Models (though everyone puts in a good show on the latter). Ken Jeong is funny in both movies.

Hangover: 7/10
Role Models 8/10

That's pretty good for me. Comedy movies can be difficult to do these days, but these were both really good fun.

^^Don't BS a BSer. Next time you want to BS, why don't you try BSing each other?

Jane Lynch makes the movie, IMHO.
