YEAR LONG DIARY THREAD 2009

June 12: Have pulled a trash can into the studio with me because the bitchy scheduler won't get one of my shows covered so I can do home and die.

June 13: read the year long diary thread entries I missed over the last few days. Thinking of playing some Oblivion in a minute.

June 13: Decided to stay home and spam instead of going to a Naughty By Nature/Bismark concert last night. I figured it wasn't worth it since I only knew 2 NBN songs(Hip Hop Hooray and OPP). Was really glad I didn't go when I found out the show was supposed to start at 9PM but didn't start until 11PM. My brother went and didn't get home until 3 AM.

June 14
transplanted some lilies and bought a white foxglove for backyard. read a bit of my book and watched Ghost Town - Ricky Gervais is fabulous in it.
thought about my little old lady but I'll write about that later.

June 8: Hate my new 11am-7:30PM work schedule.

That's a sucky schedule. Mine is 4 days a week. 6:45 AM until it's done. At least 10 hours, usually 11 - 12 hrs. Then half an hour of paperwork and a 30 minute drive home. I usually get home anywhere from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.

June 14: Slept in, watched Tropic Thunder on HBO, probably put up some laundry in a few minutes. Two hours until True Blood...WOOT!

June 16
getting laundry and dishes out of the way so can enjoy True Blood guilt-free. groceries can bloody well wait.

^got any celebration plans?

June17
last night was at a poetry awards do and one of MY students won first AND second place in the junior poetry category!whoot!

for the first time this year there was more than one other bike (mine) in the bike rack at the Y this AM. summer's almost half done - lazy bastrads!
hafta work this morning, but then I will be free.FREE FREE FREE! ahem. sorry.

I'd like to take her on the ferry to amsterdam, but that means getting a baby sitter for two nights, plus its a ton of money in a month where I have both car tax and the MOT to pay for.

Might just get her a nice top or something.

6/17: Hating the Lakers and all of their fans for making me wake up 40 minutes early, so I could leave home early, to avoid all the traffic from the parade this morning. Got to work 40 minutes early, so I WORKED FOR FREE FOR NEARLY THREE QUARTERS OF AN HOUR TODAY!!!

6/18: Pondering why life is a series of disappointments occasionally broken up by moments of soul-crushing despair.

I'll get back to you on that one.

June 20/21: Just returned about an hour ago from a night of pool, Wii, poker and smoking weed and drinking booze. Good times...

CANADA DAY -mowed the lawn before it rained; blood donor clinic; had company visit;
just back from watching the fireworks; found a great spot right by the harbour- no mosquitos and the sky cleared up just in time!

July 26
yesterday was such a fuckdamn day I couldnt believe it:
broke one of my new dinner plates washing up; went to the Y in the pouring rain, got there and it was closed - new summer hours; 10 minutes after I got back home on my bike in the pouring rain, it stopped raining. Figured I'm stuck at home without a car in the middle of a monsoon, why dont I download true Blood? 3 fucking hours later, it's downloaded - SOUND ONLY! FUCKINGOMGBOOHATBASTARDS!KILLMYSELFFUCK

But today: went to the library and the latest Sookie Stackhouse book was in!! YAY.
Also we rescued a snapping turtle that was going to get squashed on the road - half the street got in on the operation- what a hoot.
And I tried a low-carb recipe from a new library book and it was easy and delish!

so, dont kill yourself: tomorrow's a better day.
