7/14/07 - Will finish Half-Blood Prince tonight. Just left off at the point where
Harry and Ginny finally hook up after the Quidditch match. It was really sweet, and brought to mind some of my childhood romances.
I can already tell that this is going to be the hardest book to turn into an interesting movie. It's all flashbacks and Breakfast Club soap opera so far.
I start a new job on Wednesday. Payroll. Again. :vomit: There has to be something else I can do that makes use of my brain and doesn't involve sitting in a cubicle all day. *sigh*
Being poor isn't as bad as I remembered. It's kind of entertaining to see what kind of dinner you can make for however much change you've got.....forces you to be creative if nothing else. It will be nice to have insurance again, though.
I tried coke the other night. Not my thing, I guess. The crash was not worth the high. Of course, I'm sure it didn't help that I served for 12 hours, forgot to eat, then drank as much as I could in the hour I had before the bar closed before starting. Sometimes I'm not too bright. :jayzus:
I miss Jenn. Hopefully I can finish her painting today.
July 16: Once again I <3 THE MAILMAN, errr MAIL-LADY!!! I also <3 my super awesome online friends who send me stuff in teh mail. Now I must find something equally awesome to send back. I got a book, a PC game, and the entire Dune chronicles on a disc!!!

my 95-year old sweetie client ( as os July 4th!) had me working hard in her garden this AM - now time to replace those lost calories!

July 18: ** holy music that sounds like AAAHHHHH!!! ** (coming from heaven)
My frangipani, aka plumeria, that I bought at the kumquat festival five years ago, is finally doing something besides being a big stick with leaves coming out of the top. Now it kinda looks like it's got a short stalk of asparagus coming out of the top, which I"m hoping is a precursor to making actual branches which will lead to FLOWERS THAT SMELL LIKE BABY JESUS' BREATH..
May no hurricane darken my doorstep this year.. I'M GOING TO BEAT THIS BLACK THUMB AND GROW A FLOWER IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!!11
