The Panthers tendered a contract to exclusive rights free agent defensive end Bryan Cox Jr. The son of three-time Pro Bowl selection Bryan Cox came to Carolina in 2017 as an undrafted rookie. He has flashed at times, playing in 11 games last season. He's still a project as Carolina looks to shore up the end position with the retirement of Julius Peppers.


The Panthers re-signed linebacker Jared Norris, a key contributor on special teams, to a two-year deal. Norris was set to become a restricted free agent on March 13. His last two seasons were hampered by injuries, limiting him to 14 games after he played in 14 games as an undrafted rookie out of Utah.
