I have taken One Vicodin.

Up north?

Like Nevada?

I lived in Phoenix in the early 90's. I kinda hated it out there... ESPECIALLY when I could feel the soles of my shoes melting on the pavement.

The Stir Fry station i was working (for the last month) lost gas and fire for a short time today.
I was Severely tempted to take the three woks i use out onto the pavement to get the cooking done.
It was 112 today.

Nope - like Flagstaff, Sedona or Payson.

I felt that way where you live now! I guess AZ is hotter eh.

I agree with eloisel about Flagstaff and Sedona, they are sort of enchanted feeling OR SOMETHING. Plus the Grand Canyon is truly majestic. Another thing I loved about Arizona is that you can drive around and find really cool things to explore. I lived on West Indian School Road in a slummy apartment complex and I worked somewhere to the north (can't even fucking remember what part of town). The shoe melting incident occurred when there was a fire drill in the office and we had to stand in the parking lot.

LC, others don't like the humidity of the south, but I couldn't stand the dry sinus cracking air of Arizona. I guess living in the jungle most of my life made it hard to adjust to an oven!

My hair was straight when I lived in Arizona.

When I was a nanny in Arizona, I used to take the little girl I was watching in the backyard, and we sculpted with Play Doh. That crap dried up within a half hour into a crumbly mess. Phoenix sucks the moisture out of everything.

^^Aren't you dating Achmed the Dead Terrorist?

He was a live convenience store clerk when I dated him.

That sounds about right.

Actually, I PHX, its taxi driver these days.

Saint, how are you feeling today?

Doing all right. May have to slaughter my downstairs neighbors for turning their stereo up to 11 with the bass at 15, but I'm feelin' pretty good about it.

That's good. Glad to hear you are getting better.

My sis in law used to work for a guy that did some kind of whacky physical therapy on celebs. He made frequent trips to the Sedona Red Rocks to take advantage of their healing properties.

I would love to visit. We were all around there when I was young... but never right there.

Oh, god, you are probably thinking about the vortexes in the Sedona area. Arizona was a haven for New Age Philosophy back in the 80s. Don't know if it still is. Reiki masters, walkins, channelling old spirits, etc.

There's still a bit of that woo going around up there from what I hear -- not as much, though.

I visited Sedona once. The rocks were beautiful. I took my first helicopter ride around them, and it was glorious! I remember a lot of Southwestern clothes. And that little god that starts with a K--he was on everything.

The thing I remember most about living in Arizona, however, was how conservatively Republican it was. I hated it. This was a long time ago.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, TS. :)
