I lived in Phoenix in the early 90's. I kinda hated it out there... ESPECIALLY when I could feel the soles of my shoes melting on the pavement.

It was 112 yesterday.I felt that way where you live now! I guess AZ is hotter eh.
I agree with eloisel about Flagstaff and Sedona, they are sort of enchanted feeling OR SOMETHING. Plus the Grand Canyon is truly majestic. Another thing I loved about Arizona is that you can drive around and find really cool things to explore. I lived on West Indian School Road in a slummy apartment complex and I worked somewhere to the north (can't even fucking remember what part of town). The shoe melting incident occurred when there was a fire drill in the office and we had to stand in the parking lot.
LC, others don't like the humidity of the south, but I couldn't stand the dry sinus cracking air of Arizona. I guess living in the jungle most of my life made it hard to adjust to an oven!
