Totally snowed in, with tons of leftover holiday food in the fridge, and all those unopened bottles of wine from the parties still sitting there. Life is good.

Only regret: no late night drive to the casino tonight! The snow isn't supposed to stop until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.

I shoveled twice today, the second time I had to push the door open as the snow was past that level already. There's over a foot out now.

Power went out in the area for about an hour and a half. NO INTERNETZ OMG I ALMOST CHEWED MY FOOT OFF.

We had to push the front door pretty hard to get it half open and now my dad is trying to clear that area. The grand total for here is 24".

There's a set of 5 icicles outside our living room window that looks like Wolverine's claws and could literally kill someone if they fell. There's also a house out back that has a new snow cornice courtesy of Mother Nature & Partners, LLP. Pretty cool actually.

Hey, Eggs, is NY like Philly when a snowstorm is expected-does everyone rush out to food market to buy bread and water and milk and stuff? It always made me crack up to see the supermarkets with empty bread and milk shelves. Like, when the FUCK have you been stuck in your house for more than 1 day...2 days, max??

Well a lot of people used up the basics over the holiday. We have tons of leftover cold cuts and salads and pastas in the fridge from all the parties, but good luck finding a Diet Coke or some orange juice anywhere in the house.

My friend in Brooklyn just posted on his FB wall that the only bread left on the shelves in their neighborhood store was Weight Watchers brand, and organic hippie bread that weighs 10 pounds a loaf. PANIC!
