Duke lands commitment from No. 3-rated center Patrick Ngongba II

Five-star center Patrick Ngongba II announced his commitment to Duke on Saturday, giving the Blue Devils their second five-star pickup of the week and further solidifying their hold on the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. Ngongba chose Duke over Kansas State and Kentucky. He also took visits to Michigan and UConn this fall. Kansas State recruited him the longest because of Ngongba's strong ties to Jerome Tang and assistant coach Jareem Dowling, who was at North Texas when the Mean Green gave Ngongba his first scholarship offer. But Jon Scheyer zeroed in on Ngongba as his top big man target and welcomed him on campus twice, including at last month's Countdown to Craziness, when No. 1 recruit Cooper Flagg who committed to Duke on Monday -- was also in Durham.

ACC coaches wary of more realignment: 'Guessing it's not over'

It was a tumultuous summer for the ACC, with Florida State making it clear it would consider leaving the ACC due to the league's revenue distribution model. FSU president Richard McCullough told his board of trustees in early August that "FSU will have to at some point consider very seriously leaving the ACC unless there were a radical change to the revenue distribution." After the Big Ten and Big 12 made moves to bolster their respective memberships and in turn decimate the Pac-12, the ACC picked up the two most viable remaining pieces of the Pac-12 in Cal and Stanford and also poached SMU from the AAC. The three schools will join for the 2024-25 year.

Subject: Cease and Desist - Disruptive Behavior

Dear Charles (@blackfoot NAP ; @C-40)

I am writing to address the persistent and disruptive activities that have become synonymous with your presence at TROLL KINGDOM. Your continuous posting of articles without any meaningful engagement, the incessant updating of threads with copied content, and the blatant use of "sock" accounts to manipulate post interactions, are detrimental to the community.

This letter serves as an explicit demand for the immediate cessation of these disruptive behaviors. TROLL KINGDOM is a space intended for substantive and meaningful discussions; your actions are not only counterproductive but actively detrimental to the community's atmosphere.

Your current online conduct reflects poorly on your own character and undermines the quality of interaction for genuine members seeking valuable discourse. It is evident that your approach deviates from the communal spirit TROLL KINGDOM strives to uphold.

I strongly urge you to reconsider your online conduct and recalibrate your approach to align with the ethos of TROLL KINGDOM. Failure to comply with this demand will leave me with no option but to escalate the matter further.

I trust that you will take this communication seriously and act promptly to rectify your online behavior.

Sincerely,

@blackfoot NAP: I am open to suggestions in regard to this thread. We will have a primary NBA thread shortly. I envisage a general Basketball thread to accompany it for all non-NBA updates.

I believe the Atlantic Coast Conference content would be a good fit for the general Basketball thread, given the frequency of updates. If you have any additional thoughts, please share them.
