The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, which takes place Tuesday, will be remembered as the "Wembanyama sweepstakes," as French phenom Victor Wembanyama is universally expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in June's draft. At 7-foot-2 with tight handles and a smooth shot, Wembanyama boasts a crazy mix of size and athleticism, and as a result he has league executives drooling. He has also already caught the eye of some of the league's top players.

San Antonio Spurs win NBA Draft Lottery, right to draft Victor Wembanyama
This is the third time the Spurs will have the top pick in the draft. The other times, they took Tim Duncan in 1997 and David Robinson and 1987. Wembanyama, 19, is perhaps the most hyped NBA prospect since LeBron James in 2003.

Denver will have the 37th and 40th pick in this draft, and the deal gives Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth additional opportunities to acquire low-cost contracts and create some trade tools as the franchise navigates the luxury tax with this star-laden team.

Sources: Nuggets to acquire 1st-round pick from Pacers
The defending champion Denver Nuggets will acquire the 29th and 32nd overall picks in Thursday's draft in a trade with the Indians Pacers, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Nuggets will send a 2024 first-round pick and the 40th overall pick in this year's draft to Indiana in the deal, sources said.

As part of the deal, Memphis is sending Boston its first-round pick in Thursday's draft -- the 25th overall selection The Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies agreed to a three-team trade late Wednesday night that sends center Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics, guard Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies and guard Tyus Jones to the Wizards, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.[/size]
