Tampa Bay Lightning (2) vs. Colorado Avalanche (4)

Game 1: Avalanche 4, Lightning 3 (OT)
When the puck dropped, the Avalanche showed they could use their speed to offset Tampa Bay's players who have been here, done that. And it doesn't hurt to have a guy who also hoisted the Cup. Burakovsky is one of only two Colorado players with Stanley Cup rings, and that came in handy.

Game 2: Avalanche 7, Lightning 0
What emerged from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night wasn't their championship pedigree or vaunted ability to bounce back but frayed nerves and maybe a realization that the Colorado Avalanche are coming swiftly for their crown. Outmuscled. Outhustled. Out-tussled.

Game 3: Lightning 6, Avalanche 2
Steven Stamkos and Ondrel Palat each had a goal and an assist, and the Tampa w Lightningscored four times in the second period and beat the Colorado Avalanche Monday night in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Game 4: Avalanche 3, Lightning 2 (OT)
Nazem Kadri scored at 12:02 of the extra period to give Colorado the victory. The Avalanche outshot the Lightning 11-3 in the extra period.

Game 5: Lightning 3, Avalanche 2

The resilient Tampa Bay Lightning spoiled Colorado's party to stay in the hunt for a third straight Stanley Cup title. Completing this comeback series win would put them in an entirely different category. Only one team has rallied to capture a Game 7 in the final after trailing 3-1 in a series — the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs.

Game 6: Avalanche 2, Lightning 1
The Avalanche dethrone Lightning to win Stanley Cup for 3rd time in franchise history and first in more than two decades. Sakic, who captained Colorado’s first two title-winning teams in 1996 and 2001, used a familiar recipe to get his team over the hump.
