Allyson Felix caps final appearance at track world championships with bronze medal in 4x400m mixed relay​


The third-place finish still gave Felix her 19th medal at world championships, extending a record she already held. Adding it to the 11 she's taken at the Olympics, she'll end her career with an even 30 at her sport's biggest events.

LeBron James has something to say you Boston basketball fans --
you're SO racist. LeBron went off on his latest episode of "The Shop," after being asked why he hates Boston. His blunt answer ... "Cause they racist as f***." King James went on ... "They will say anything. And it's fine. It's my life, f*** I've been dealing with it my whole life. I don't mind it. I hear it. If I hear somebody close by, I check them real quick, then move onto the game. They're going to say whatever the f*** they want to say." LeBron's not alone. Other players have also groused about the way Celtics fans behave, Klay Thompson complained, "We've played in front of rude fans before. Dropping f-bombs with children in the crowd. Really classy. Good job, Boston." Draymond Green's wife blasted them for chanting "f*** you Draymond" during the NBA finals.

Jasper Philipsen of Belgium braved a heat wave to win the 15th stage of the Tour de France in a sprint Sunday as Jonas Vingegaard kept the leader's yellow jersey. Primož Roglič, the 2020 runner-up and a key teammate for Vingegaard, abandoned the race before the start Sunday because of injuries he previously suffered in this year's edition. Philipsen beat points leader Wout van Aert and Mads Pedersen to the line to win a Tour stage for the first time. Philipsen was second behind Van Aert in the fourth stage of this year's race.

Lleyton Hewitt enshrined in International Tennis Hall of Fame as part of class of '21​


A native of Australia, Hewitt, 41, was elected into the Hall as part of the 2021 class, but due to travel restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was unable to attend the enshrinement ceremony last summer. There was no one elected for 2022, so the moment was his alone. He's the 34th player from Australia to be inducted. A two-time Grand Slam champion (Wimbledon 2002, US Open 2001), Hewitt finished '01 and '02 as the No. 1 player in the world and spent 80 weeks atop the rankings. In 2001, he became the youngest at 20 years, eight months and 26 days to become the top men's player. During his career, he won 30 singles titles and was a part of two Davis Cup championship teams, in 1999 and 2003.

The turnover chain is an oversized 36-inch, 2.5-kilogram, 10-karat gold chain worn by Miami players on the sideline after forcing a turnover.The chain has been used by the Hurricanes since the first game of the 2017 season.

Tyson Fury announced his retirement in April, but it doesn't appear the heavyweight champion's hiatus will last long. Since Fury's sixth-round TKO win over Dillian Whyte in April in London, "The Gypsy King" has repeatedly flip-flopped between expressing his desire to fight again and remain retired.

Charles Barkley calls out 'selective outrage' over LIV Golf amid reported interest to hire him​


Charles Barkley has acknowledged meeting with LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman about a possible broadcasting role while pushing back at what he called "selective outrage" toward the Saudi-funded series. Barkley could receive a LIV offer from Norman after they met in Atlanta on Wednesday, but the Basketball Hall of Famer told the New York Post that it would need to be highly lucrative for him to walk away from his reported eight-figure income as an NBA analyst for TNT and spokesperson for multiple companies. Barkley said he has heard from multiple sponsors following reports of his meeting with Norman. LIV Golf has come under scrutiny for its ties to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The Saudi government has been accused of human rights abuses as well as the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Jackson, whose rare success in both the NFL and Major League Baseball made him one of the greatest and most marketable athletes of the 1980s and 1990s, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he felt compelled to support the victims' families after the loss of so many children.
