At the moment, there's no method that I know of. However, cases like this one may establish a precedent for legal severance of the parent/child relationship. If successful, it would establish the possibility that a parent can legally "divorce" a child who would impose a new dependent or dependents of her parents without their consent. (By the way, that is a prediction.)

Because while the parents have legal responsibility, it is only fair that they have legal judgement. Unless you're okay with someone being held liable for actions they do not commit?
 
A pregnant teenager has no legal authority, but should not be forced by the state to explain in detail why she is pregnant for their "permission" to abort.

Especially if the father or the brother or the uncle or the father's friend is the father, which is sometimes the case.

The idea that abortion is a form of birth control and should not be allowed becuase it encourages promiscuous sex is at the heart of all this parental notification chatter anyway. If you're doaughter gets pregnant and has an abortion without you ever knowing it while she's living with you, doesn;t say much for you as a parent.

It doesn't, except in the current paradigm. Kind of like that "partial birth abortion" ban. I've scoured medical texts and talked to hundreds of doctors, and there's no such medical procedure. There are laws being created however, that totally subvert patient physician confidentiality in the interests of narrow white male Christian Doctrine.

Unless I'm not aware of all the black female lawmakers who are pushing this issue.
