My question is, what's the intent anyway? Why do we need to simulate sex with children for any reason?

Because we technically can?

You may not use our Services to distribute, advertise, disseminate, link to content that contains, describes, or refers to child pornography, bestiality, child erotica, gambling, pyramid or “multilevel marketing” schemes, or any other content prohibited by U.S. law.

From the Terms of Service. Whether there is some potential argument to be had about the artistic merit of a piece overriding the illegality of CP fiction (it is illegal) or not I don't know and don't give two shits. This type of fiction is not allowed on TK.

There's nothing illegal about child porn FICTIONAL WRITING. You don't have to like it or anything, but it's not illegal. Just like having drawn pictures of child porn isn't illegal, either.

So basically, as long as a real kid isn't getting exploited, it's not illegal.

Just so everyone knows.

I can see where Mentlist is coming from as far as being extra careful, but Caco's right. Take a look at lolicon. Perfectly legal and plays a big role in the hentai industry.

This is absolutely correct. Someone posting this kind of thing, and trying to skate by on a technicality "Oh it's a robot child" still brings up an important question. What kind of mental defect causes someone to find anything along those lines even remotely arousing? Let alone want to post it. From what I understand, though this isn't the first time Yub has tried to rationalize something along these lines. As far as the legalities go, Menty is absolutely correct. And even if it WAS technically legal, it could be against a provider's terms of service, which in this case it is. It's a fine line you have to walk with this kind of stuff. I found this out as soon as I opened mine. Hosting providers can be pretty jumpy these days.

I'm glad somebody has a clue. I'm finding all this rather amusing myself. Trying to be Dirk removed in simply icing on the cake. I'm not faulting him for modding it either, but I do think the most he should have done was spoiler it and contact Menty ASAP.

Explain how I attempting say HEY CHILD PORN IS JUST FINE, Dual?

Sour grapes. Dirk was right. Get over it.

I was going to start the Badlands party Knowledge Is Dynamism, Power Over Ridiculous Nerds. Now you've all gone and spoiled that.

You retard. The stories are being posted to provoke a strong emotional response from others. It's quick and dirty trolling, no different than shock images.

I doubt everyone who's posted tub girl has a liquid shit fountain fetish.

I'll accept Mentalist's explanation that the host forbids it. It's hard to find a host that doesn't stay as far within legal boundaries as possible these days.

Your point may be valid, but you are still dodging the real question.

I said it was tempting, I didn't say I was going to do it. :D Besides, I'd like everyone to see what a retarded assclown Yub is. It's best shown in it's unaltered glory.

Very much agreed! Leave the title as is, it shows how much of an idiot he is! :p

You missed the "serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value" part of it. It's obviously up to a person's discretion as to whether something is serious literature/artistic or not, and it's certainly Menty's right to not allow it if that's what he wants. But it's still not illegal. And in the article that was posted, the guy took a plea bargain. Had he gone before the jury, he could very well not have been convicted. I know that I certainly wouldn't condemn someone for having poor taste in manga.

You have to think of Lolita (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolita for those that don't know of it). It's widely controversial, but it's also regarded as a piece of literature. It was actually taught in one of the classes at my old high school - a friend that was a year below me had to read it for one of his International Baccalaureate classes... something to do with Philosophy and Literature. And I know it's taught in some colleges.

I personally don't have a problem with people posting whatever they want as long as it's not harmful to anyone else. Child porn fiction hurts no one. You're not forced to read it. And to be honest, I'd much rather have the pedos out there getting their jollies off by sharing their child porn fantasies than actually raping children. I really don't see any negatives to it, other than the fact that it might offend some people, but oh well.

So; is this child porn, then?

How about this?

It's a fucking robot. I'm pretty sure even Panda could prove that in a court of law...

I didn't miss any of that, and I'm not in disagreement with you about that semantic either. Just strictly coming from a "how much hassle will this create for the board which will then have to defend itself" kind of place. It doesn't matter if it's legal if the board admin have to go through the hassle and distraction of defending themselves as a result of it.

We all need to vigilant and report lawbreakers to Mentalist STRAIGHT AWAY for the sake of those who might accidentally blunder on to a troll board and expect to be clean and pristine, because we wouldn't want to offend..

It's just a semantic. Personally I could care less either way.
