Nope. That would have been too suspicious to do while cosplaying as Walder Frey and too big of a risk getting caught before her cosplay.
Besides if she had we wouldn't get scenes of him all season long slowly wasting away and wondering where the fuck is everyone?

She could have freed him after she murdered literally every Frey! And don't say she didn't know Edmure was there because she knew everything else about the Red Wedding and was probably living as Walder for weeks to arrange that massacre (did she sleep with his young wife in that time, is another question!)

The dragonskulls looked a lot better than when Arya hid in one in the first season. But Qyburn's secret weapon being a giant crossbow isn't really going to work unless he get a dragon to stand still.
The Sand Snakes sure got jobbed out in service of Euron's heel push! I'm fine with that, really, but that whole battle was pretty weird. How did he manage to ram the right ship (and without anyone seeing him conming)? I've watched enough Black Sails to know that it all seemed very unlikely. And what were those fireballs flying about? They didn't look like flaming arrows and it wasn't wildfire so...yeah I guess I should just enjoy the action and not think about it.

Good episode!
I thought the same about that (actually quite small) catapult. After the dramatic buildup I was expecting a wildfire cannon, or an ice cannon, or... I dunno. An undead dragon baby. The dragons do occasionally stay still, but it's usually just before they fry everything within sight, so good luck with that...
Greyworm and thingy (it always sounds like Melisandre....)'s scene was really sweet. And good eye candy imo. I don't know if anyone else gives a toss about those two tho. Maybe it's just me.

The sand snakes dying was good fan service, but I wanted Colleen Wing to survive.
Theon jumping ship was unexpected, but refreshingly so. Dramatically being shaken out of his stupor to save his sister would've been fun, but not as believable.
That battle WAS weird. It seemed like they realised there was no action scene in the episode so they jammed something in there. It was also very difficult to tell who was who.
Something obviously had to screw up the perfectly good plan for laying siege to Cersei, but I expected it to happen an episode or two down the line when things were a bit further ahead. I guess Jon will have already set off by the time the news arrives though.

First 2 episodes were great, I was disappointed to see the Young Greyjoys taken out of action so soon. I assume that the Martell chick, and the titty flashing Sand Snake were taken hostage along with Yara. I assume they are the "gifts" Euron promised Cersi in episode 1. The fact that they're still alive gives me hope for at least one of them to be rescued. Perhaps Braun will find himself employed by Tyrion again?
I'm starting to think history will repeat itself for Jamie as Cersi continues her transformation into a mad(der) queen. I rewatched the first six seasons, and I noticed many subtle lines, and hints that they dropped in earlier episodes possibly fortelling later events.
Sansa continues her descent into being the most annoying character on the show. I'm starting to think she's just a bad actress.
Next episode we actually get to see Casterly Rock, and Jon meets his secret Aunt!

Jaime killed the Mad King because he was planning to blow hundreds of people up with Wildfire. Cersei blew up hundreds of people with Wildfire. It's weird he never even commented on it (he only mentioned Tommen killing himself.)
I was wondering why that one Sand Snake was captured instead of dying...yeah, she's totally going to show her tits to Bronn in an attempt to get him to rescue her.

Jaime hasn't mentioned the Sept bombing, but there definitely seems to be a change in his tone toward Cersi. The Kingsguard have also started wearing black. Cersi is in black. It's a fortelling. At some point I see Jaime either pulling a murder/suicide with Cersi, or just icing her, and going and knocking the boots with Breann of Tarth. Perhaps he'll have some of kind of interaction with Jon Snow who's seeking a ceasefire to deal with the wights. He'll want to do the level headed thing, and help fight, but of course Cersi won't cooperate in any capacity. In order to save the world Jaime gotta stab his sister with something other than his dingus.
Maybe Cersi is ready to die, and she wants to take all her enemies with her.
I definitely think we'll see Bronn rescuing the last sand snake. And, titties will be seen, and enjoyed by all. Theon will grow some figurative balls, and assist in the rescue of his sister.
