THE BASH (I have no idea why it's not great or american anymore) was last night.
Tommy Dreamer retained the ECW title over Swagger, Christian, Finlay and Mark Henry in the scramble match. Instantly forgettable.
Rey beat Jericho for the IC title. Great fucking match. Went quite long and lots of cool moves and counters and references to their previous matches. Jericho pulled Rey's mask off again but he was wearing a SECOND MARK underneath and Rey won.
Dolph Ziggler beat Khali. Kane just randomly came out and hit Khali with a chair 89 times. So it didn't help Ziggle in any way and now we'll have to watch Kane and Khali wrestle again. Great.
Edge and Jericho won the tag titles from Carlito and Primo and Pricless. Teddy Long added Jericho and Edge to the match to impress Vince or something. Really stupid fucking finish where Rhodes charge into the corner where Edge was, Edge tagged him, Carlito hit the backstabber then went for the pin, then the referee said Rhodes wans't legal and Carlito fucking looked around all confused going "WHO COULD POSSIBLY BE LEGAL THEN!?" even though Rhodes had clearly just fucking RAN INTO EDGE IN THE CORNER, then Edge speared him for the pin. Well, it annoyed me anyway.
Michelle McCool beat Melina for the woman's title. Who cares. Would much rather have seen Mickie James versus Maryse.
Jeff Hardy beat CM Punk by DQ. Hardy thought he'd won, but Punk had his foot on the ropes, Punk then faked an eye injury and "accidently" kicked the referee for the DQ. HE'S GOING HEEL, YOU SEE.
Cena beat Miz. UTTER SHIT. All the build-up for this? Cena just shrugged off Miz's offense then hit all his shitty moves for the easy win. SO WHAT WAS THE POINT? Just to show that no one else is EVER GOING TO GET IN THE MAIN EVEN BUT THE SAME FIVE FUCKING PEOPLE FOREVER AND EVER?
Orton beat HHH in the three stages of hell match. HHH got himself DQed in the first fall but then won the second fall seconds later then the last fall was a stretcher match, which is dumb really (what does pushing someone on a stretcher over a line prove?) and OH MY GOD CAN YOU FUCKING BELIEVE IT, Rhodes and Dibiase helped Orton win, I NEVER SAW THAT COMING LOL. Then HHH destroyed them all with a magic sledgehammer.
One great match which is worth watching but all the whole pretty depressing show.
