And Cait, while I do verily appreciate your efforts, there was no need to edit it. As Ru so astutely pointed out, I have gone by my real name online from time to time.

Nor is it wise to automatically assume prejudicial and conspiratorial intent everytime the staff says something, but somehow that seems to happen with every single action the staff makes.

I was enjoying a three day weekend. Believe it or not, I have a life outside of the internet and it takes precedence for the most part.

besides, I had 4 groups of friends to go see Pirates with. Don't get me wrong it's a fun movie, but after 10 hours or so watching it i'll be happy enough to wait a year for part 3.

In answer to your previous question. I'm still looking into it.

Ah, touche, my friend! :) I agree whole-heartedly, 1,000%. Except for the part where you say it seems to happen in every single action the staff makes. Not so. It just seems like it, nothing more. In fact, it is easier to remember the bad than the good since the bad seems to have more of an imprint on people.

If we see less overly aggressive actions by the staff, and more intellectually thought out courses of action that are more fair to both board and party or situation in question, I think we'd see a great decline in the carping.

Being in charge is a cross to bear, not a parade. Never has been.

As long as no-one is posting my home adress or anything, I don't think my first name is quite unique enough to worry me.

And A Karas, I'd be a lot more inclined to believe you if we didn't have people arguing about the propriety of merging threads in AGQ.

Lastly, HF, I have an answer for you. You probably won't like it, but here it is. You weren't sent an email, the reasoning for which is that when you are suspended and go to the site it very obviously tells you to email the admins.

Adding an email on top of that telling you the exact same thing (you've been suspended, please email the admins) despite the fact that it has on occasion been done is somewhat superfluous.

I apologise if that's not the answer you were hoping for or looking for, but there it is.

He chooses not to, sadly. Though I don't agree with his decision, I respect it. Even if he is a stubborn old bat. I hope he reconsiders and doesn't burn all of his bridges. It's a lonely life otherwise.

Gode is an honest person who would never try to steer anyone wrong. i'd never stick my neck out for someone like this if I knew it wasn't true. He's a true friend.

Pretty much what I was expecting.

Another excuse. There is no reason why someone else gets an e-mail and I do not except...

Not sending me an e-mail gives you guys the perfect out.

I am a man of my word and I will NOT e-mail a bunch of self important hypocrites.

Those that know me know this to be true and they get what they wanted out of this incident.

Me gone from EI.

If it wasn't a big deal, why did you bother to point it out to me? I've always called you by your real name and you never had a problem with it before.

Actually, to the best of my research not sending the email is the norm, not the exception. Yes, an email was sent to a suspendee recently, but that was done in error.

I am a man of my word and I will NOT e-mail a bunch of self important hypocrites.

Would you believe that isn't what I want? But I also lack your pride in this case. I don't see the problem in just firing a message off to the admins because I"m more interested in fixing problems than standing on principle. But I do understand that you feel differently, and I hope you'll reconsider at some point.

Actually, it is going to remain indefinitely suspended because you were never banned. It will remain that way untill you do decide to contact the admins, or the site shuts down.

And? Should I adopt a foul-mouthed countenance simply because I don't have the guidelines from Exisle telling me not to? Would it surprise you to find out that both on and offline I rarely if ever use expletives, and when I do I use them for appropriate moments.

Meh. I have already given up on this boards new improved guidelines. I just don't care about them any more. ExIsle is...was? a place I used to come to for fun. It stops being that when I have to wade through a document that makes the Massachusetts state consitution look easy.

Heroic Fool was a member of this board, he has met many of the folks here in person and he should not be kicked out because he made a mistake. Now, maybe there is some information that the staff has that shows malicious intent then if that is the case fine. Lets hear it. If not then this is a new low for this board.
