Dallas finally released Dez Bryant. With Dez gone taking a WR (or two) seems a must for the Cowboys.

Bryant would have counted $16.5 million against the salary cap this season.
 
Dez turned down down a multiyear from Baltimore. Bryant wants a one-year deal and a chance to prove himself, in hopes of getting a bigger long-term deal in 2019.

Bryant was set to make $12.5 million with Dallas this year.

The Cowboys signed first-round pick Leighton Vander Esch to a four-year contract worth $11.847 million guaranteed.

The Dallas Cowboys have had two HOF Quarterbacks. Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman combined to win 5 Super Bowls.

Tony Romo who Prescott replaced is Dallas leader in passing yards and touchdowns passes.

With the retirement of Jason Witten and the release of Dez Bryant, Prescott has become the face of the franchise.
 
Former Cowboy Terrell Owens won't attend Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

For his career Owens had 1,078 catches (seventh all time) for 15,934 (second) and 153 touchdowns (third).

Owens had been a finalist for the last three years.

Owens also played for San Francisco, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Cincinnati in a career that spanned 15 years.
 
America's team first training camp will be July-26 in Oxnard, California. The Cowboys will return home August-17 and have open practice at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
 
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is expected to meet with NFL officials, potentially including commissioner Roger Goodell.

Gregory, who has missed 30 of the past 32 games because of suspension, filed the reinstatement application within the past two weeks.
 
All-Pro right guard Zack Martin have agreed to a six-year extension worth $84 million, including $40 million guaranteed.

The deal, which runs through 2024, includes a $20 million signing bonus. Martin has started every game since he entered the NFL in 2014.
 
For the second straight season, DL David Irving will miss the first four games because of a suspension for violating the substance abuse policy.

In 2017 he missed four games for violating the performance-enhancing drug policy. He will be able to take part in training camp and preseason games.

Defensive end Randy Gregory was told Monday that he has been fully reinstated by the NFL.

The Cowboys will have to make a roster move because they are at the 90-player limit.
 
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been told by the NFL to keep his mouth shut regarding player protests during the national anthem.

Jones has been outspoken about his desire for players to stand for the "Star Spangled Banner".

He expects Cowboys players to have their "toe on the line" during the national anthem.



On Monday the 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman told USA Today Sports that Jones had an "old plantation mentality."

Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins called Jerry Jones a bully for requiring his players to stand.
