They would have to actually be in DC before they can be released from it.

This has gotten stupid. Whoever moved the thread, (and I don't know who did), it was a bonehead thing to do. It's bad enough that this internal crap is getting aired out in public, but moves like this that give the impression that it reflects some real, rubber-stamped policy are wrong. Moving threads like this are the reason for threads like this. So I'm moving it back.

And staffers: how about we actually use our Super Sekkret Forum for once? Obviously we have things to discuss.
 
Why shouldn't this stuff get aired in public? It's not exactly state secrets.
 
I agree with Friday. I was actually enjoying the antics aspect of it all, truth be told, but then I'm like that.
 
a little bit of abuse is okay, sort of. i mean i get changing saintlucifers posts to pink and tiny, and that's "sort of" okay, but changing his post so that he's admitting to being a "dual"? stuff like that doesn't help, especially when the guy owns himself with his own posts.
 
he was PWNT *tee hee* ages ago. i wouldn't be too upset about seeing his stuff merged into one thread and have him stuck in the badlands, like dirk wanted :D

I'm not sure what you are referring to here: the admins' behavior or the creation of this thread?

If it's the first, I am pretty sure most of the admins don't give a fuck about 'more posting and interest on the board'.
If it's the latter, you've probably missed the fact that mm didn't start this, and as the one who did, all I could say to that implication is: you so don't have a clue about my intentions.
 
First of all I moved this thread by accident when I was moving Darthsikles spam threads out of QSF. Just a tiny accidental arrow click and we get to enjoy more indignant rage. :apopcorn:

Menty, seriously? If I knew your stance on this matter, I wouldn't have bothered in the first place. What I know is what is written in the rules, and what you said in connection with the Blackfoot incident. That's far from knowing your general stance on this.

And that case would be what? I always thought this place prides itself in NOT being as all those other mb's out there with admins and board owners who get to decide what constitutes dribble and what doesn't? Once again, I see the problem when the spamming causes server issues, but otherwise? Are you telling me that it all boils down to 'if Menty/the admins think my posts are dribble, I'm fucked?

You are massively oversimplifying things. It may seem quite simple to run a board like TK and just let it all kick off and be a chaos ridden free-for-all but I do sort of have higher aspirations for the place. You can all chuckle now...

Look, here's the deal: I reversed what Conchaga did to Charles and now Aquehonga is out of DC and I can safely say there will be no more admin button trolling. I am to blame for not taking a firm position after the Charles incident and making it clear to all that we are made and broken by our consistency even if it may be fun to change Luci's text pink and what-not. From this point forward there will be no more "admin abuse" and everyone will be treated equally and fairly no matter how obtuse they are and DC will be used only for serious breaches of the rules.

There. It's now policy. I would also note that this has NEVER before been policy in the lifetime of TK.

What I said about coming down harder on those who dribble all over the place is still relevant though. I want on topic forums, a cut down on junk spam in all but one or two places and a general effort made to make the board more enjoyable for everyone. Thats what the staff do and I am very thankful to all of them for doing it. I have not been able to lead from the front very effectively because I am an insanely busy person especially of late and so I trust my staff to be autonomous and make decisions like whether idiots are dribbling everywhere (being purposefully disruptive not based on opinion or popularity) or purposefully skirting the rules to get a reaction and thus lowering the quality of the board. You being a member of my staff are no different.

I have never entertained the idea of TK being an easy board to run. I can damn well imagine how insanely difficult this stuff can be. I didn't exactly cry 'admin abuse waaah waaah waaah' in my first post rather than trying to get you guys to think over the way things are being handled, so please cut me some slack.

And funny, but, yeah, I have 'higher aspirations' for this board as well, although I am just a normal poster, not the board owner or admin. Consider me completely non-chuckling.

I am aware of that. And if you could show me even one (!) incident before today where I have acted otherwise during your reign, it would be one hell of a surprise for me. As for today - to be honest, I wasn't too sure if I even wanted to be on staff anymore before Eggs posted (yes, I was truly mad), I stopped spamming right after he did, so... yeah.

For the record, for me the initial issue is being taken care of sufficiently now, thanks to those who took the time and effort.

Damn, this thread made me realise I have PWNed the Admins... AGAIN! I rule! I have the entire site in an uproar over Admin abuse, exactly as I had intended. I am a fucking GOD!!!

Now then, if every Admin would be kind enough to line up against the wall, face it, pull down their pants, and bend over, I would be much obliged. Allow me a moment to pull out my schlong, if you will.
