If you look closely at the box your aluminum foil came in, you'll see that there are tabs on each end that can be depressed. These tabs serve to hold the roll in the box, so it doesn't pop out while you're pulling your sheet of foil off.

I made this discovery at age 42, and my life has never been the same.

I have heard of this foil tab thing, but always thought it to be a myth. Only now, have I learned the truth!
