LOST!!!!!!

Maybe she'll meet up with Sayid in the jungle and have animal sex (even though he's in the seventies.)

wow, what a superlative episode.

what DOES lie in the shadow of the statue?

miles is the shit, but hurley is my favorite. ewoks suck, dude.

and FUCK abc for making us wait two weeks for the finale. i'm not at all interested in the "lost special" on tap for next week. ILL WATHC IT, SURE, but i'm not interested.

okay i am.

^ 'tis not the finale, lad, there are still 3-4 episodes left. But yeah, they're just stretching things out for May sweeps with another completely boring special that will tell us what we already know but do it in style with Scary Movie Announcer Voice. Or something.

well shit, thank god for that, there are more eps coming. that is very good news.

I loved this episode more than BACON. Marvin Candle is Miles' dad! I sort of remember someone mentioning that possibility at one point. Loved getting the background on Miles too. Hurley was awesome.

Really liked this ep. Great to see Miles finally get some proper attention. At the very beginning I wondered if we were seeing older Sun and her kid, though it wouldn't have made any sense with her US accent. I'd forgotten it was a Miles ep.

I wonder what Sawyer will do with that pesky Darma dude? Just keep him locked up in a cupboard?

EWOKS SUCK!

Good episode, I wonder if Miles is doomed now we have seen his past.

Do the shadow of the statue people work for Ben, or are they a new 3rd party?

I figured Hurley was writing empire as soon as he mentioned bounty hunter.

I wonder if Miles is the one who tells Candle to send his wife and kid away so they dont get killed with the rest of them?

Good to see Beardy Dan back.

I really don't think the shadow people are working for Ben. It wouldn't surprise me if they were working for Widmore, but I hope they're new. Of course Illana could have been lying when she said she was a bounty hunter for the family of one of the guys Sayid killed, maybe she knew the guy's name because Ben told her. I DON'T KNOW. I wonder if Caesar will stay dead.

So the filling in the tooth was pulled out by the mangetism where the Swan is built and killed the guy? And the body was disposed of in the Orchid, possibly sent to Tunisia or maybe just sent back in time?

The Shadow of the Statue people are probably the remains of Dharma, I think.

I had the same thought about Miles being the one who warns Pierre to send his family away.

Would Hurley really not know how to spell bounty hunter?

Neither seems particulary hard to spell.

Maybe he was just trying to make conversation.

Ok, I've avoided this thread until I could catch up completely. Over the last month I've watched all of the episodes from S2 until present. So, sorry for being late.

Here are some observations I've noticed.

HOLY SHIT IT'S HAWKING IN THE SAME PHOTO WITH BROTHER CAMPBELL!

Anyway, as for the birthing problem on the island, it seems that all the Dharma folks were getting preggers left and right and spitting the kids out with no problems. Let's get a list running shall we?

Ethan, Miles, and Charlotte are confirmed Dharma kids.

Now, this pregnancy thing didn't start unitl after Ben used the gas to purge the island of the Dharma folks. So, my guess is that the birth problem is due to the side effects from the nerve agent that they released. The continuity problem is that the gas was specific only to humans? The polar bears are all ok?

The Others haven't been jumping around because Richard took all of them to the temple, where it's my guess that they're safe from the effects of the time shifts.

Someone in this thread asked if Christian Shephard was actually Jacob himself. The answer is no. He said so when asked by Locke.

"Are you Jacob?"
"No, but I speak on his behalf."

The name Hanso has been mentioned. It was mentioned in S3 in episode "The Constant". When Desmond walks into the auction house they're auctioning off the log of the Black Rock. The auctioneer mentioned that it was previously owned by the Hanso family.

I knew Ben wasn't dead after Sayid shot him, because Sayid didn't finish the job. With every other man Sayid has killed, he used more than one bullet. He only shot Ben once. Though, the fact that Sayid trying to remove Linus before he became what he was and actually bringing about his evil was quite a fun thing to watch.

All of the Egyptian hieroglyphs in the undercellar of the temple walls were really cool and tied back to S2 where the last thing you'd see after the numbers ran down in the Swan station were a group of hieroglyphs. Especially cool was the image of the smoke monster communicating with what looks like Anubis.

Favorite characters in the series so far

1. Benjamin Linus - By far the most complex and intriguing character the Lost writers have presented us with. He "always has a plan". He's capable of almost anything. He proved to the rest of the audience that he was one of the good guys when he wouldn't murder Penelope in front of her child. As mentalist said, he's riveting. Any time he's on the screen, you don't take your eyes off him.

2. Sayid Jarrah - Pensive, moody, never quick to make a decision, and passionate. Everything you want in a protagonist. He's a complete badass, as seen by his neck-breaking "disco move" in S4. After that, there's no questioning how awesome he is.

3. Hurley/Miles - comic relief/6th sense shit respectively

4. The smoke monster - This thing is the definition of fucking scary. It is the real owner of the island. Probably Jacob's pet.

Everyone else could die for all I care.

Oh, and for those of you who think Juliet is hot, go find the movie Gia. You'll shit bricks.

Tonight's episode is probably gonna be awesome. I want to find out what lies in the shadow of the statue.

Oh, I'm thinking it's a tradition amongst the leaders of the Islanders to get kicked off, try to come back, and attempt murdering the next in line.

Whidmore got banished by Linus, then turned around and tried to kill him.

Linus got 1upped by Locke, then Linus shot him and left him for dead. He got 1upped a second time by Locke and Linus decided to choke a bitch. But, now, Locke's got the help of the smoke monster to keep Linus from pwning him a third time.

And it was painfully obvious that Locke was gonna come back to life after that whole Thomas the Apostle speech Linus gave to Jack.

It also could be the accident that causes the birthing problems.

Well, since Juliet talks about the sperm count being x5 what it is normally in a male and that the woman's immune system turns on her and the child in the middle of the second trimester, it sounds a lot like chemicals in the air instead of electromagnetism.

Well, not so much in the air as in the drinking water.

Sometimes I like thinking about big theories and then sometimes I feel like the writers are just making it up as they go along and keep changing the rules and the backstory to fit the current story (the last Ben flashback seemed a bit continuity suspect but I wont go into it because Tomtrek will shout at me.)
