As far as TK goes I never left here, so I'm not sure what the coming back re is all about besides self congratulatory chatter.

Maine is beautiful. Different than Vermont, but just as beautiful. It's uniqueness comes from the fact that it's further north than much of Canada compared to US and is east coast ocean bound. This gives it a unique topography/geography.

With the weather changing the winters in Maine have become much more severe and dangerous, but the fall is exquisite. You know that Vermont is built on a bedrock of granite that extends through NH and into Maine through the White Mountains? Also the Gulf of Maine is so deep and cold that whales and dolphins are common?

It is a remarkable place. I don't think I could ever live there, but I do love to spend a few days when I get too landlocked to stand being in the mountains anymore.

I'm sure you'll love it.
