Drew bumped the thread so that people would read Zack's posts because he thought it had a lot of good points in it.

I find it is the usual case when someone ends a dismissive statement with "no offense" that is exactly their intention.

However, to answer your rhetorical response, I spent about as much time as you did, but you sound like you support those "good points".

I'm simply voicing an observation that perhaps Drew had a more subtle ulterior motive, and if someone else's post (a "someone" of a more respected membership class) dovetailed with his own, it lends credence to his position.
