Tito Ortiz unretires, signs with Combate Americas
A former UFC light heavyweight champion, Ortiz will enter Combate Americas with a 20-12-1 record and riding a two-fight winning streak.

The middleweight fight has been verbally agreed to for UFC 241 on August 17 in Anaheim, California.
 
 
Former middleweight contender Elias Theodorou released by UFC
Theodorou (16-3) lost to Derek Brunson (19-7) by unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC Ottawa earlier this month. He held a 8-3 record in the UFC.


Heavyweight prospect Justin Willis (8-2) is no longer on the UFC roster
Willis (8-2) lost to Curtis Blaydes (11-2) via unanimous decision in March. However, he had won eight fights in a row prior to that bout, including his first four UFC fights.

Fedor Emelianenko (39-6-0) signs 'retirement tour' deal with Bellator
Known as "The Last Emperor," Emelianenko is the former Pride heavyweight champion and arguably the greatest heavyweight ever in MMA. He went undefeated from 2000 to 2009, one of the most revered runs in the sport's annals.
 
France to recognize MMA as a sport in Jan. 2020
The MMA was banned in France in 2016. France is one of the last major countries without legalized MMA.
