Eli Manning future remains uncertain. GM Dave Gentleman declined to commit to Manning for next season.

Eli Manning, who turns 38 Thursday, has one year remaining on his contract and is set to count $23.2 million against the salary cap in 2019.
 
NFL television ratings rose by 5 percent in 2018 compared with the 2017 season.

The average game in 2018 drew 15.8 million veiwers as compared with 14.9 million in 2017.

That number was 16.5 million in 2016 and 17.9 million in 2015.
 
The CFL's leading receiver last season Duke Williams has signed with the Buffalo Bills.

The Eskimos released Williams last week, ahead of his scheduled free agency in February, to pursue NFL opportunities.

The 25-year-old Auburn product finished with 134 receptions for 2,294 yards and 15 touchdowns in 31 games.
 
The Green Bay Packers will hire Matt LaFleur to be their next head coach.

LaFleur spent last season as the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator and previously worked under Sean McVay for the Los Angeles Rams and Kyle Shanahan with the Atlanta Falcons.

LaFleur agreed to a four-year contract with an option for a fifth year.

LaFleur, 39, would replace Mike McCarthy, who was 135-85-2 (including playoffs) but was fired with four games left in his 13th season as Green Bay's coach.

New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel, who interviewed for the Green Bay Packers' head-coaching vacancy last week, confirmed he is returning to the Patriots in 2019.

Last year at this time, McDaniel had verbally agreed to become the Indianapolis Colts' head coach before backing out.

McDaniel, 42, coached the Denver Broncos in the 2009 and 2010 season, will enter his 16th season with the Patriots in 2019.
 
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are finalizing a deal to make Bruce Arians their next head coach.

Arians, who retired following the 2017 season coaching the Arizona Cardinals, has spent the NFL 2018 season working as a game analysts for CBS.
