But this goes back to the heart of the discussion.... so that is the reason why you are in the club... to be objectified... How many patrons think about the person you are? The soul behind the dancer? The only contact they have is within the odd confines of the club... the rules, the money, the private rooms, the discussions about what can and can't happen in said rooms, to them, you are an object. Even if you and I know that you're not, they still think that.

And that's another heady issue. Do any of the men that frequent strip clubs regularly have a chance at a healthy relationship? The objectify women every other day at the club, are they going to stop when they do find a relationship?

You stated that strippers 'do sexual favours' and because of this, they are whores. I pointed out this fallacious reasoning because your argument fails to take into account the fact that it is the end-user who is trying to get satisfied. By your reasoning, any model which 'does sexual favour' by turning me on, anywhere, anytime, is a whore.

They don't. They want to get away. To be with woman who wouldn't normally give them the time of day in most cases. To escape daily hectics lives. They'll never know the woman behind the stripper anyways, because a lot of what they see is the fantasy that the dancer is giving them.

But that's beside the point. You're husband is cool, he obviously doesn't think of you as a sexual object. But the men in the clubs do, and when those men leave the clubs they then objectify other women. Other women who have no preparation for the kind of attitude these men have.

Bah. I guess those men are just assholes, then. I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule and there are cool strip club patrons who don't objectify women, but I'm sure those dudes are few and far between.
