Stargate Universe

It was okay, but the whole chair thing could have been done better. When Rush was pretending there was a planet they would reach in a year it reminded me of Adama telling everyone he knew where Earth was in BSG. Except that was better becasue BSG was better. And they just dropped it by the end of the episode. I thought Rush would get in the chair himself since they made a big deal of Young saying "WHY DON'T YOU GET IN THE CHAIR THEN?" twice, but no.

I did like that they gave more personality to some of the minor characters in and effective way, like the hot scientist girl who keeps having sex with different guys.

On the other hands, Ming-Na's trip home was a waste of time. Okay, she misses her girlfriend, we get it. They could have eastablished that in a line of dialogue instead of having all those scenes.

Two episodes ago...OMG IT'S SO HARD FOR YOUNG.
This week....OMG IT'S SO HARD FOR WRAY [ming-na].
In two weeks..OMG IT'S SO HARD FOR ELI?

WTF.

Telford is punk ass bitch...I'm renaming him Sir Robin. He had the connection severed instead of knocking Young on his butt, I'm glad Young kicked his arse. They should have kept the chair and planet thing going over a few eps, I AGREE WITH WACKY.

Yeah, dumping the planet idea was a shame. Seemed like they were finally setting up a goal for the crew, who are so far just chugging along wherever the ship happens to be headed.

I remembered the other day that another of those "oh, so it's filmed in BC" actors who's in this is Jammer from BSG. It's only a matter of time before Aaron Douglas, Sam Witwer and Tahmoh Penikett turn up.

No SGU this week, but that's no reason not to have a review, so...

"Fire"... quite liked this ep, was definitely an improvement on last week's anyway. Nice to see Rush actually explain things before just going off and doing them regardless, but Young was still being a dick. The guy knows more than you and he's already thought through all the options, stop taking out your personal issues on him!

Does Telford just sit by those communication stones all day looking bored? Isn't he supposed to have important things to do? Having him take on the body of someone besides Young made a change, but their little tiff in front of the others was a bit lame. They still need to explain why those two hate eachother so much.

Realised that the nervous scientist guy who helped Rush at the end was one of the reporters in BSG. I wondered why he looked familiar.

The ending was pretty cool. Some people on imdb say it was predictable, but that's easy to say after you've seen it. The only thing I didn't like was that they couldn't vent the air out to stop the fire because some system was offline. Sounded like Star Trek.

Lt James really has massive knockers.

And he did the old googley eyed "omg, Chloe's ass! I'm in heaven... oh hi Chloe I wasn't looking at your ass!" comedy expression.

I'm glad there was another pointless sex scene this week to piss off the imdb shitfaces.
