The Avengers full trailer

Nothing, really, I was just being WACKY. I don't know why I've never watched a Bourne movie (I'd watch it, not know what to think, check online to see what other people say then say "oh yeah, that WAS great/overrated/ruined by Julia Styles!")

I watched the first one, but the bit where he threw himself down a stairwell, shooting people on the way down, then survived because he landed on a dead bad guy, pissed me off so much I vowed to never watch any of the sequels, or even watch the first one again on tv.

I don't remember that bit, but I do remember Mr Eko being the bad guy who Bourne was assassinating when he developed amnesia!

I loved the Bourne films, which surprises me.

I just loved the fact he was only ever given a bic biro against a nuclear enabled sub machine gun. The scene where he broke the guys nose with a rolled up newspaper made me love the whole series.

Anyway - OFF TOPIC YOU BASTARDS

Yeah, that fight scene is one of the highlights of the series. Well, I've only seen the first two actually, but it seems hard to beat. I'm not a big fan of Paul Greengrass's direction, where you can't see what's happening in fight scenes because every shot is a close up of a motion blurry fist at a nose bleedingly high frame rate, but he didn't manage to spoil a guy getting beaten up with a copy of The Telegraph.

As of today its raked in 1 billion dollars, worldwide.

9 zeros baby, in 19 days.

I like the BBC News article about it which almost sardonically informs that:

Joss Whedon's next project is an adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing, filmed in his back yard.

While box office gross isn't a measure of quality, it is cool that a movie I enjoyed a lot by a director I like has done so well!

Looks like it could go up to third, but I doubt it's going to beat the James Cameron big two...

Looking at that list, how the fuck did Alice In Wonderland make so much money?

Hey so it turns out Loki planned to lose all along, maybe?

O.k., let’s talk about The Avengers, the highest grossing movie so far this year, and the movie on track to potentially unseat James Cameron’s Avatar as highest grossing movie of all time. Specifically, I want to talk about the writing and Loki, the film’s key villain. More specifically, I want to explain how Joss Whedon managed to write the perfect Xanatos Gambit.
