I love idiots who don't understand the premise of a good comic story commenting on it.

Picture Sean Connery playing Batman and using the same speaking voice for both identities.

"Ah, hallo Commishionuh Gohdon, it'sh me, Bahtmahn."
"Yesh, hallo Commishionuh Gohdon, it'sh me, Broosh Wayne... oh, fuck meh."

Now ya know what the ridiculous Batman voice is for.
 
Brendan Frasier is physically yummy and would make a good Batman if Batman went back to the campy, cheesy, cartoonish 60's TV series Batman. While he does clean up nice and look good in a suit, Brendan needs to be funny and at least mildly buffoonish. He hardly suits The Dark Knight persona.

On the other hand, Christian Bale appparently is a dark persona.
 
On a positive note: I'm glad they made Commissioner Gordon's daughter so young and unidentifiable. No Batgirl any time soon!
 
Not entirely true. In Batman & Robin they brought in Alicia Silverstone to play Batgirl who was really Alfred's niece, Barbara Wilson.

Remember comic fans: Film is just another medium for creating storyline fodder.

Yet another reason I never bothered watching that piece of trash.
 
Batgirl is Barbara Gordon, at least the way I've always understood it.

The Barbara Gordon version of Batgirl made regular appearances in Batman-related comics from 1966–1988 and is described as one of the most high profile characters to be published during the Silver Age of Comic Books. Following the editorial retirement of the character in Batgirl Special #1 (1988), Barbara Gordon is paralyzed by The Joker in the graphic novel Batman: The Killing Joke (1988). Editor Kim Yale and comic book author John Ostrander later reinvented Barbara Gordon as Oracle, the premiere information broker of the DC Comics Universe and leader of the Birds of Prey organization.

You didn't mention that she got that information to broker by being a hacker. Which, is the ONLY thing they kept true to the story in Batman & Robin.

No, whisky. They didn't rape her. Joker shot her in the spine and paralyzed her.
