The Clintons are grifters. She grew up poor (her dad worked in a mill) and she's been set on using political power to make a fortune so she wouldn't feel inferior to people born into wealth. Along the way she became a congenital liar, and as recent psychological studies have shown, learning to tell lies rewires the brain to tell more and more lies. By implication, learning to scam and cheat rewires the brain for that, too. And she surrounded herself with similar people, ones who know she's lying and applaud it because they do it too.
 
I remember reading a debunk of the 'she grew up poor' narrative. Way I heard it -- regardless of where Daddy Rodham started out -- by the time little Hilldabeezt came into the picture, they were firmly upper middle class. And I have to pick one other minor nit -- you say 'congenital' liar. I can't get behind 'congenital', 'cause we don't know whether she learned it from her parents, which is what 'congenital' would mean. For example, I had 'congenital cataracts' which means I inherited the condition. We don't know Hillary inherited her sociopathic tendency to lie.

I think the phrase you wanted was pathological liar. She definitely is that. She can't not lie.

There are two reasons mentally healthy people lie: To get something they couldn't get by telling the truth, or to keep something they would lose if they tell the truth. Hillary lies when neither of those conditions is in play. She lies just to lie. She is a pathological liar.

WF had an oopsie. All the old sticky threads got resurrected and now it says they're down for a day of server maintenance. :eek:
 
Well, they're back up. They've closed the Violet Room and merged all the VR threads back into the Red Room, along with the Tech threads and Lord knows what else. But the Tech threads are also still in the Tech forum.

That might cause some kind of problem.
 
I was just getting caught up on everything that's gone on over there and deciding if I was going to make any posts (I mean beyond the one where I accuse John and gul of hosting child pornography in the old abandoned Violet Room :) ) when it apparently shit the bed again.
