Originally the board was set up for writers and other creative types. The TNZ refugees were invited to a general discussion forum by Cassandra (then known as Martok's Sweetheart) and more or less took over the whole place.
 
Speaking of TNZ, has anyone looked in there lately? I have not, just wondering if it's as stupid or worse than Turdforge has become.

I don't remember if it was me or the ever elusive Jillian Bacardi who coined the term "Turdforge", but it's sort of appropriate. Most every post there is just someone squeezing a loaf out of their ass.

I wonder if they really think that running everyone off that are disagreeable in exchange for dopamine bumps in the form of "likes" is a good idea. I think around 1990 David Brin wrote a book about this which predated the internet at large. He just called them "dazers".

Can't say I've bothered looking in there for the past month. It's always the same drivel.
 
Last thing I noted was Anc being glad his trans boyfriend's beard was coming in well enough that (s)he(?) was less likely to get beat up in the bathroom. (!)

I heard Scorp passed away recently. He was a good poster and I hope his family is handling his passing as best as can be expected.
 
What happened? Was it cancer?
