Westworld

I kind of feel sorry for her as she has been an actress for 20 years or so and been in loads of big films, and shes walking around naked most of the time, unless its a body double for that, I know its a great part, but seems a shame she has to do that to get it.

Dont feel sorry for big wang guy though, I doubt he feels self conscious.

I doubt shes doing it out of desperation, either. It's a really good role and the nudity is an important factor in showing how the character is perceived by others, so I shouldn't think she has a problem with it. It's not like it's got any sexual basis.

The nudity also says a lot about the person dealing with the robot. The ones who think of them as almost people tend to put clothes on them, and the ones who think of them as machines to be used leave them nude.

Thandie Newton has never done anything out of desperation. That's a dumb thought and it angers me. It's sexist.

At age 44, she was asked to play a very complex role, which involves nudity because the charater is supposed to represent a perfect engineered body specimen. I would be high fiving myself in the mirror, thinking about all the twentysomething bitches I beat out. She is badass.

She definitely still has it. She has alot to be proud of. Unless of course they're using cgi body double trickery like on Game of Thrones.(the later seasons)

This week's had its wobbles (that's not a reference to Thandie Newton - she doesn't wobble). The stuff with Delores and white hat guy were quite soap opera like. And they made that exploding mannequin in no time!

Really good ending though. I think a lot of people expected it, but it was still upsetting to see the most sympathetic character become the most brutal. I read somewhere that Bernard's full name is an anagram of Arnold's full name, btw. Ford seemed unsure if Bernard had been around when Arnold was, though, which would seem odd if Bernard was a copy of his former partner.

They filled the dead bodies with the nitro before they left Pariah. Part of the whole double cross/smuggling deal.

The Bernard thing was still sort of a shock to me, even though it has been a popular theory. Definitely weird when Ford asked him how long he'd been in the park. I still dont subscribe to the 2 timelines theory. I think everything going on is definitely happening at the same time.

I'm starting to think Arnold killed Ford, replaced him with a robot, and has been running the park in secret from deep within. Ford, like Bernard, doesnt know hes a robot who's serving Arnold's goals. He's finally having Delories fufill her true purpose by finding the center of the maze for the next phase of his plan. I definitely think the end game is the release of the robots into the real world with the goal of supplanting real humans. Maybe Bernard was really a person once, like Ford, and they were killed, and replaced at some point years ago. I expect to see a robot replacement for Elsie popping up soon. I also think that head of security that shot Clementine is a robot.

I think Ford just asked Bernard if he was there when Arnold was around to confuse him. I guess his son and Gina Torres were all implanted memories. Bernard being a robot version of Arnold does seem to make a lot of sense, meaning that the scenes of "Bernard" reading Alice in Wonderland to Dolores were actually Arnold talking to her 35 years ago.

I think the Dolores/William scenes are suppose to feel a bit romance novel/soap opera because it's showing him being sucked in by the script narrative of the game. The fact that she drew the canyon she remembered seeing before suggests to me that those scenes ARE the present day?

I hope Elsie is okay because we need a human character who isn't evil now that we know Bernard is a robot.

Or Ford was playing confused himself for a second, part of the act he's been putting on for the board this whole time - that he's a slightly daft old man, just tinkering with his toys.

I read somewhere that the room Bernard murdered Theresa in was the same room where we saw "Benard" talking to Dolores...and given that he didn't know about the room beore that surely means it was Arnold in that scene.
