I still crack up from the time I stopped to gas up in Ukiah, California and this pothead at the next pump goes "Pssst. Hey. Did you know Ukiah is Haiku spelled backward?"
I wish you could still find coachmakers that would do bodywork like that. I guess some hearse and limo builders could, but most body shops, if you can't order a part and bolt it on they can't do it.
Y'know, when I was a kid in the late '70s, "oldies" radio stations played rock from the '50s--20 years ago. If stuff from 2003 were an "oldie," I wonder what the stuff that is played on all the radio stations I have in my car are?
Whenever I see people complain that comedy isn't the same today as it was in the eighties, I wonder if people in the eighties complained that comedy wasn't the same as it was in the 11940s (they probably did.)
