April 19th parte due: I wrote 10 pages of podcast material and I am done!!! Yay! And I spammed a little and chatted with various miscreants all at the same time.

YES I WROTE BY HAND WITH A PEN ON PAPER... my hand hurts a little.

Sure, they've been banging on about it for ages, but as if it's years away. And they mostly concentrate on how Tony Blair is stepping down. Then suddenly I turn the TV on and adverts are saying vote on the 3rd.

20/4/7 - Parents are coming tomorrow so I'm tidying up so it doesn't look like I've been living like a slob for the last two weeks just eating and posting on message boards lol no as if! It's actually tidier than when they left, but that's no great feat.

21/4/7 - I share loki's sentiments. My parents were supposed to get home last night, but instead I got a call from my dad at the hospital. My mum got knocked over by a waitress and she broke her hip. They're supposed to be putting a pin in, but god knows when they'll be home now. Looks like I'll be on my own here till my mum's in a good enough condition to be flown to a nearby hospital.

OH have I mentioned that I am a hick? NO? well yes I am a hick, but not so bad of a hick that I raise hogs... OMG I GOT TWO FUCKING HOGS TODAY and not the kind that you ride and wear leather and a helmet looking all cool. NO the stinky kind that roots around in its own poop. I'd rather buy pork from the store and not bother raising it myself. I enjoy raising cows, they are cute and you can pet them.. then eat them when they get all big. I'M KINDA SCARED OF PIGS!
 
Cassie, do you get some guy to come along and kill them or what? I can imagine getting emotionally attached to farmyeard anima.. er, not like that, but I might feel guilty having them killed. Not a big fan of pork though.

21/4/7 Update - Got a call from my dad, the operation went great and apparently she'll be able to walk by the end of the week. I don't know how this is possible for something who broke their hip, all I know is they used some of her own bone to do something or other. Anyway, so now I'm upbeat again and having a drink. :)

4/21/07 - Sleepy all day, keep nodding off on the couch. Installed the REFCL backup, now swimming in a bunch of bugs/errors trying to get it running. Wishing I knew more about programming than your average drunk hobbit.
 
^That's good news Fuddlemiff! Hope your mom is good as new soon.

Regarding the farm animals: no we don't have someone come kill the animals we take them to the butcher and he kills them for us... but when I was a kid we butchered them ourselves. I really don't care for pork that much either.. bacon, ham and pork chops are yummy, but the rest? blech.. and we won't get cured bacon from a hog we raise ourselves unless we get someone else to smoke it or cure it.

I've raised lots of cows.. usually from just a few days old, and for some reason I've never gotten so attached to one that I wouldn't eat a t-bone steak, LOL.

April 22/07:
some neighbours who have been great friends are moving so I bought some OJ and sparkling wine (DINT KILL ME FRENCHIES OK I SAID SPARKLING WINE)and we will sit on their patio by the water and drink mimosas and enjoy THE HOT WEATHER! happy Earth Day!
 
23/4/7 - Thanks for the well wishes! Yay today means new HEROES at last! Must also do work and find a use for eggs, potatoes, cheese and carrots. Hmm. An omelette maybe.
