Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

I NO RITE because Henry Cavill's last Superman movie was UNIVERSALLY PRAISED and Ben Affleck has NEVER MADE A BAD CAREER MOVE IN HIS LIFE LOL.

Look at the bright side: While it is doing 30% with critics, the mentally retarded and Bernie Sanders voters give it a 74% rating. That's like, a high C+!

Saw it in 3d Thursday night. Would rather have seen it in Imax. Good movie but not something I'll go back and see in Imax.

The bad - too many scenes trying to develop the well known backstory of Batman and to give a little humanity to Superman when we already know he is a mush for Lois and his mother. The big boss monster was cheesy as hell. While Ben Affleck looked the part and was fine in the acting part, he has a meely mouthed kind of voice when he is Bruce Wayne that is wimpy and off putting

The good - Batman kicked Superman's ass. That in itself is spectacular. Batman's toys are still interesting. Luthor Jr. came off as a brilliant nut job befitting our current times and the people we know are the captains of technology industries. Superman is pretty to look at when he isn't all bulgy muscle guy in a tight suit and a cape with his hair all slicked down and oily. Wonder Woman was great - would like to see more of a story with her as the focus and not the late coming side kick.

Considering how this one ended, more is to come. May it be soon and may it be really good to make up for the few flaws in this one.

Overall, this movie is of familiar characters doing what we expect them to do, and has lots of explosions and fireworks for the short attention span public. At least the dialogue wasn't written by Beavis and Butthead with some ridiculous steam punk elements thrown in to attract that market.

Best seen on a big screen with surround sound. The theater shaking during some of the scenes added a nice element to the experience.

Well yeah, from a corporate standpoint, this movie was created solely to be a bridge to the Justice League movie next year.

It was that bad. Not in the way of effects or visual stuff, but the story was an absolute jumbled mess. Don't spend full price on it, you'll be pissed.

Yeah, but people are walking away saying they liked Wonder Woman and the other surprise guests, so in that sense the movie did its one job.

Also it's making obscene money. So its badness is probably not a concern to Warner Bros.

I was always going to trust Angry Joe on his assessment of the film being the ultra fan he is. Here is the spoiler free review.

Any movie with Batman and Superman meeting on screen for the first time was going to make a lot of money no matter what. Jurassic World is the third highest grossing movie of all time and I've never seen anyone say it was great (or even very good.)

Jurassic World sucked. Not even Chris Pratt could save it.

I'll be watching SvB on wednesday so give my final thoughts then but my eternal wish for a slam dunk for Superman sounds like it's going to have to wait.

At this point I would be willing to have Max Landis take over the whole fucking property despite being a narcissistic douche bag. He understands the character and has actual good ideas.

Will never happen.

He does look like an even more emo version of Kylo Ren.

Fun fact: WWE approached him to be a consultant for their writing team.

I honestly think that the best Superman movies have already happened, which are the first two Chris Reeves movies. The current idiotic Hollywood groupthink concerning any superhero project is, make it dark and gritty or else OMG people might think we actualy like comic books! They are so seeped in irony as a religion that Superman simply does not compute. Another generation of filmmakers will have to be born (and another generation of moviegoers who answer surveys) before Superman can be given a true treatment without it being dismissed as political propaganda. By both extreme sides.

Saw it, it was ok, if you liked man of steel you will probably enjoy this, if you did not, you probably wont.

Batman is done well though, if you like your batman kill crazy.

Note to bad guys, if you think its a good idea to stab Batman, don't be surprised if he returns your knife in a way you wont enjoy.

Struggling to think of a film since never say never again when a jar of piss played such a prominent role.

I will be watching it either tonight or tomorrow. My best mate owns the cinema on the island so we are going to have a private screening with a few mates and a bottle of gin. Full cinema experience without having to deal with the unwashed masses. Fucking result.

Don't go in looking for deep story. It's got plotholes big enough to fly an invisible jet through.

Did you see it yet then?
