I wonder how she got in that state? You'd think she'd know better being famous, but tbh, I'm mostly concerned that this didn't happen when I was on holiday in a hotel last week. Where's the justice?!

She was cast as the eleventh doctor's companion in early 2009 and first appeared in April 2010, effectively replacing a character that hadn't been in the show for several years and had already been replaced by two further actresses.
