Doctor Who Series 10 - At Least It Will Be Better Than Class

I think my favorite bit was the First Doctor at the very end, though it's going to be murder waiting for the Christmas Special to see how that resolves.

I watched on BBC HD, I could hear the doctors fine, but if there was any audio from the 1st Doctors companions it must have been lost in the mix.

I meant the montage of all the companions (Rose, Martha, Jack, etc) all saying "Doctor." Also that scene REALLY made me think they're setting up a female Doctor since everyone who thought about was a woman (and Jack.) When he thought about Missy last I even thought "he's going to regenerate into Missy!" for a second.

Oh I thought it was really good. Good emotional scenes! I do hope they bring Missy back somehow, she really grew on me. Even Nardole wasn't so bad this episode.

Just a stupid thing for you all to mock:

FORGIVE ME NOT

“Don’t bother trying to regenerate! You got the full blast!”

She heard the doors shut, as the beginning of laughter bubbled up out of his throat -- her throat. It mingled, in her mind, with her own laughter. Lunatic laughter. Desperate laughter.

Was that when it had happened, then? Was that when it had started? The seed had to have been planted somewhere, after all, before it could blossom into this tree that stood in the center of her mind. The seed had to have been planted…

She willed her head to turn. She willed it, and her will had always been mighty. Mightier than death, more powerful than probability.

“Don’t bother trying to regenerate!”

Oh, don’t worry, dear, she felt her lips turn up in a smile. I haven’t any need to.

Her eye caught a seedling. An odd little thing. A round pod with what looked like little wings; no, the whole thing looked a bit like a crude, organic propeller. How funny! she thought, absently, as the aftereffects of the blast loosened a little more every microsecond.

The mad laughter bubbled up again. Only as a whimper, at first, but she didn’t mind that. The little propeller-shaped seed didn’t mind, after all, so why should she, when there was no one else about to hear it?

She knew something -- reminded, perhaps, of it -- which she had forgotten until just now; meaning that he would not remember it, himself, until he was she, and then became now:

She had set that sonic -- oh, so many centuries ago now -- to paralyze with a full blast, not to kill. After all, who but himself -- herself -- would she ever use it on but the Doctor? And why, oh why, would she kill her best friend, her best enemy?

And live in a universe without him? Without comradery, without challenge? Certainly not!

Of course, she had never tested it on himself. What in the cosmos for?

She had to admit, it was wonderfully effective and delightfully unpleasant.

With all the hand holding maybe it could be Missy... some DNA transfer/last imprint or something. I'm mostly speculating about this because she's really grown on me this season. She was so annoying and over the top before (plus the stories tended to be a bit lame), but now she's calmed down and developed some empathy she's very watchable.

That was a very understated reveal. I thought they'd do a proper show of it like they did with Peter Capaldi (even though that was quite cringeworthy from what I remember).

Yay for female Doctor. Will Bill fall in love with her?

PC GONE MAD!

Good for Doctor Who, but if she's not perfect people will be so fucking mad.

Wow yeah that's, uh, actually pretty great casting. I'm actually kind of looking forward to Chibnall's Doctor Who now?!

Of course Chibnall has put a lot of pressure on himself now as if his Doctor Who is shit (which, well...) then it won't just mean that we'll have a few years of shitty Who, but that the entire concept of a female Doctor will be put on trial.

She was good in attack the block, so I'm looking forward to her.

Its amusing to see all the old white guys on facebook totally loosing their shit over this.

What would I know her from? (Should I start watching Broadchurch?) I looked down her IMDb list and was like "Ummmmm..."

Someone has to have been in Downton Abbey or Grantchester for me to know them instantly.
