OK, here's the deal...
It's not overly complicated. I was gone for two years. In that time I forgot my EI password to my Heroicfool account at EI, hell I almost forgot that there was an EI. I mentioned as much in a thread here at TK to LoP and Raeven, an admin and a mod respectively over at EI. Neither made a move to try to fix the situation. Not a big deal since I wasn't that interested in going over there at that time anyway.
I tried several times to log in HF, with various passwords I have used I failed. A couple days later I then registered Duncan using a hotmail account that was also my name with a middle initial stuck in there. My OLD hotmail account which is now defunct because hotmail kills accounts that are inactive was my name without the middle initial. I wasn't trying to hide a damned thing. It wasn't the same hotmail account as some have claimed, but it was close. So close that it could not be mistaken.
I did not register the Duncan name in order to have a dual or to "troll". I registered my son's name as an account because I wanted to peruse EI and maybe post if I saw a reason to do so. Unfortunately the EI process is so long that I soon gave up on that idea. I then went back a few times trying to guess my password again on Heroicfool.
Finally I hit upon it and began posting as myself in earnest.
End of story.
I don't use duals, despite what some have said over at EI, I don't even troll. I certainly don't use duals to troll. I sure as hell would NOT use my son's name as a dual in which to troll anyone.
All of which I could have told any one of the mods and/or admin at EI at any time if they had just asked. The name Duncan was never active at EI, it was never approved as far as I know. I never checked back on it or tried to log it in after I found my password for my Heroicfool account.
All this can be verified quite easily by Orpheus and his snooping if he was so inclined to do so. Nice to know that big brother can see any and all page views by members at any time they wish over there. Jesus people what kind of control must you need?
All of this is just silliness and no matter what anybody says, I have known and still do know that the moment I showed back up I was a target at EI. To even try to deny such a thing is ludicrous in the extreme. There may not be a thread in the private forums over there to this effect (although I think there probably is) but I know when I'm being gunned for.
They say in that thread that they were just treating me like they would treat anyone else, but that is patently not true. Anyone else would have received an e-mail at the least before a week long investigation was launched into something that I would have and have freely admitted to.
I don't give a flying shit about the "dual" that was never used now that I have (had) my account working once again.
BTW EI...
If I wanted to register a dual without your knowledge, I do have the knowledge to do just that. I know all there is to know about duals and the things to do to protect their origins from my time over here at TK...
I've just never had a reason or the will to use that knowledge.

You need to find where you said that. Then someone friendly needs to post this post, and that one verbatim in that thread. Lay that fucking mod out. From what the EI thread said, they had a "lengthy" discussion about your ban. That mod should have spoken up and said "look, he's been having trouble with his account, he said it here" and pointed them to your post.
Of course, we all know ther real reason why they banned you. Nobody goes through at click-by-click server search for just a random dual hunt. They were gunning for you, and are using this as an excuse. Time to call them on it, since it was a lousy excuse in the first place.

My memory of specific words is hazy it seems or the search function sucks.. One of the two.
I know I said something to the effect that I couldn't get in to post over there anymore and that it was probably just as well and Rae replied with something to the effect that yes, it was probably for the best.

Heh, post anything you like. Odds are that the staff at EI have already seen it, but are ignoring it anyway. Like Lisa they are likely waiting and hoping for an e-mail begging to be allowed back in. It's not a victory I am willing to give them.
I did open the guidelines a few times as they say, but if you think for a second I read all the way through that novel you are mistaken. Of course ignorance of the rules is no defense so I'm not at all sure why that came up in any case.
I did what I did for reasons that seem to be the same as one of their precious writers did in the past. As Cait pointed out she was never banned even for a little while...
But how can that be since everyone at EI is treated equally?
