LET THE GARDENING BEGIN

Commission an artist to draw a lavish, decorative version of the map.

FWIW: Those artists are called landscape architects. Which, incidentally, I will officially be in less than a year. With certificate and all ;)

Still - I would rather see Cassies scribbled-on map than an edited version!

I went to the feed store today and bought zippers, cranberry beans, and okra. THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT. I vow to have space between my rows! I WILL NOT LET THE MONSTER WEEDS WIN.

I spent a whopping $1.50 on okra seeds. At least 3,000 seeds in that little bag. Last year someone gave me okra seeds AND told me that they wouldn't be woody IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, but he LIED. Anyway, I reckon I won't plant all 3,000 of them.

We set up the seedlings in my drumming room. We've got all these ballasts and lights, it's awesome.

We have 11 gardens and grow everything. I even grew melons last year, which is tough for VT.

We'll indoor everything til about May 15th, unless spring starts a little earlier this year, which it looks like it's going to.

I grew almost 5 bushels of tomatillos last year, Just finished off the last of the chili last night wit the fabulous dinner we cooked.

There ya go, Tisi! use your powers for GOOD!!

course, it may not matter after tonight's space storms anyway.....hold on to your tinfoil hats!

FOR DR DAVE AND HIS WAYS.

I added that after you asked for the map, but last year I called my onions Dr Dave's onions, so NOW IT'S OFFICIAL.

Zippers are peas! I should have named them EGG'S PEAS.

Dont forget to have hot steamy sex in the garden before you plant the seeds.

You could have also named your Okra patch: Okrahoma.:)

now it's raining...should I be tricked into thinking spring will actually be *early for once? ....should I?

* by our standards, which means planting May 24 weekend

Cranberry beans? That's a plant?

Damn yankees! :rwmad:

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-cranberry-beans.htm

Cranberry beans may be known by several names. In Italy they are called borlotti, and New Englanders may refer to them as shell beans. Every now and again they pick up other names like French horticultural beans. These beans get their name from their varicolored appearance. They are usually white or cream in color with deep red or cranberry marks that are distributed in different patterns on the bean. In the US, cranberry beans are a fall crop.
