I picked a bunch of cranberry beans today. Apparently you can pick them as snaps, like green beans, you can let them mature a bit more and have green shelled beans, or you can leave them on the bush until fully mature and have dry beans. Also, they're still making baby beans and will keep on producing until the first frost. I LIKE THESE BEANS.
Also, the squash plant my neighbor gave me turned out to be pattypan squash (LITTLE UFOS). They're so cute! I wish he'd given me two of them, the bastard. I planted a bunch of regular yellow squash the other day, I think it will be fine to mix the two kinds of squash when I cook them.
I have a million little tomatoes. Can't wait to see how the black prince tomatoes turn out.
The zippers are growing and growing, but they haven't put on any blooms also, I have little tiny okra.
still getting heavy morning frosts up here so no planting outside yet. Did make a leek and potato soup last week with chives and thyme from me garden though!
I took some pictures, but these aren't as good as the px I used to take because I can't find replacement batteries for my camera. All I've got are these crappy rechargeable batteries and they don't last very long so I can't take close ups AND the pictures I did take turned out blurry.
Can't fit the whole garden in one shot, lol. I got carried away. IT'S BLURRY.
Cranberry beans!
Hello sexy cucumber.
Little bitty tomatoes.
I bet there are tiny aliens in there. (my camera was about to die, I should have taken the ufo px first)
Okra, I hope I pick you like I'm supposed to this year.
IT'S A JUNGLE (of tomatoes), I think I shouldn't have planted so many.
When the horn worms attack, I'm gonna have trouble finding them
