Mine Field Celebrity Deathday Thread

Most of my memories are gone, maybe a golum somewhere has them, or maybe I just pissed them away with booze.

Jeebus, he was 102?

Was he SkinofEvil?

Barry Humphries, aka Dame Edna. 89.

He was brilliant. RIP.

Someone who'd been famous all my life and was still on tv at times (and still funny) right up until death.

I know right? Crazy man and lucid too from what I've been reading. God I loved his work growing up.

He is the reason for my sarcasm today. Somewhere as a kid I found the book "Snappy comebacks for stupid questions" and I was never the same. I loved Mad Magazine.

We should throw some chairs in tribute.

I remember one episode where they rolled out this absurdly large wedding cake. Tensions were running high (as they always were). As the cake made its way on-stage, I noticed some of the icing had scraped away on the bottom two tiers of the cake. It was cardboard. A fake cake?? But it turned out faking most of the cake was a wise move, given the top half of the cake was flying in all directions several seconds later.
