Josh Berry to drive Wood Brothers No. 21 with Stewart-Haas closing
Berry joined Stewart-Haas Racing this season and drove the No. 4 machine for retiring past series champion Kevin Harvick. Brittany Force to race for first time since father's accident
Brittany Force will return to her Top Fuel dragster this week in Seattle, her first time competing since her father John's horrific accident in Virginia last month. John Force Racing said this week that with 16-time NHRA champion John Force "responding positively to treatment" for the traumatic brain injury he suffered on June 23, daughter Brittany will race at the Northwest Nationals outside of Seattle this weekend. John Force's accident took place at the Virginia Nationals as his car suffered a catastrophic engine explosion at the finish line and collided several times with the track's barriers.

The 31-year-old Californian overcame an early, unscheduled pit stop by charging from 12th place into the lead over the final 32 laps. He won battles for the lead off the final two restarts and barely avoided a third overtime to win his first Brickyard 400 under caution.

Dave Wilson to retire as Toyota racing's president in December
Wilson was appointed to the position in January 2014 and has played a significant role in TRD race wins and championships across numerous series, including entries into NASCAR, CART and IndyCar. TRD's success includes wins in marquee races such as the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Connor Zillisch, 18, to race forJR Motorsports in Xfinity Series
Zilisch turned 18 on July 22 to become eligible to race in NASCAR's second-tier series. He set a track record to win the pole and finish fourth in his Truck Series debut at Austin, Texas, in March. He is considered one of racing's up-and-coming drivers, with class wins at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, Twelve Hours of Sebring and four ARCA series events.
Tyler Reddick wins rain-delayed NASCAR Cup race at Michigan
Reddick moved past Kyle Larson into the top spot in the Cup standings, and his win opened another spot in the playoffs because he was one of 12 drivers who had already earned an automatic bid with a victory.
Justin Allgaier wins Xfinity Series race in OT at Michigan
Justin Allgaier raced to his second NASCAR Xfinity Series victory of the year and the 25th of his career. Michigan's two-mile oval became the 18th track where he has won a race.
