Nascent Drama

If I hate humanity because of what they have done to the earth, each other and this world, I must ask myself, "What have I done to make an improvement?"
 
When a human steps out of the storm cellar after a huge tornado and professes, "Good thing the wind died down" He is only fooling himself. He does not realize the huge road of reconstruction ahead.

IE: At least I am not in therapy, at least I don't have aids, at least I am not like those people. At least I am not out blowing buildings up and killing people.

In the stages of Alcoholism: If a human only stops drinking but does not take care of the spiritual malady that caused him to drink in the first place, he will be no better off.
You can say the same for a killer, a drug user, a thief. Whatever.

At least those in therapy are adressing their issues.

OK, considering the nhature of this problem, what would be a worthy solution, short of mass murder/sterilization?

I don't consider myself any more flawed than anyone else.

I have my problems, yes. But who doesn't?
 
Well then, what do you suggest?

I mean, if forced to choose between the survival of humanity and the entire planet, what does one do?

(OBVIOUSLY I DON'T ADVOCATE VIOLENCE OR MEDICAL TAMPERING ON THAT LEVEL, THIS IS JUST SPECULATION)
 
I gave 3 men seeds. 1 man I gave 10 seeds, he put them in the ground and made triple what I gave him. Another man I gave 5 seeds, he put them in the ground and made triple what I gave him. The last man I gave 1 seed. He became resentful and did nothing with it and threw it away.

I do not understand your statements really.
You would kill the population to save the planet?
 
What do I suggest?
How does one make a positive contribution to society?
Really you have no ideas?
Instead of brooding about what we have done-do something positive
go plant a fucking tree
go help some people
Do Something!

I really don't think plating a tree or reading the paper to grampa is going to fix this particular problem

IF ANYTHING I'd go after the major corporations which cause the most envirormental damage and financial inequality, but even they are the symprom, not the disease.

Well at least that is something.
 
My point it-yes planting one tree is not going to help the whole fucking world-but it isn't going to harm it either. And doing something positive is better than just giving up on society, the world, and life.
In my opinion anyway. It was just an example.
The point of the Seed story is-If I have the attitude that I can't fix the world (they way I want it to be) then why fix it at all.
And besides, seriuously-who made you God and decision maker? Who put you in charge? And maybe other people don't think it is so fucked up. Maybe its your perception.
The world has been fucked up since the beginning. It is not going to change.
 
I do try to fight that Mirah, the only way I know how. With my writing, music, etc.

I'm trying to fight them now by sharing my veiws here.

If you truly doubt what I'm saying, take a Sociology class. That only validated my cynicism.

Or do you not consider educating people who aren't even aware there's a problem "doing something"?

Who said anything about being God? I see a problem and realize tho consequences if nothing is done. And I'm far from the only one who feels this way.

And sure, the world's been fucked up from the beginning, but they didn't have thermonuclear warheads and holes in the fucking ozone layer in the beginning, did they?
 
I don't need to take a sociology class to know that the world is fucked up. I already know it is. I do not need to tell others it is fucked up either. I am sure they know.
