Nice ways to say, "Obese"?

Historically, fat has not been the problem it is now. Throughout history fat has been a sign of prosperity and of doing well as well as a means of survival during lean times.

There are always more than two options. You could always just leave the fat person alone to live their life in peace and worry about your own faults instead.

There are other people I would cull out of the herd long before fat people. What good would living be with a bunch of thin "fit" people if they were all assholes? Not much.

Not really. If I weighed 175, I'd be fat. If I weighed 176, I'd be obese. Either way, there'd still be somebody ragging on me.

mabee, mabee not

but most likely if ur a 'victim', booohoooo pass the tissue

Dear, someone calling me fat would not hurt my feelings at all.
However, your name has been added to the "asshole" column. Thanks for weighing in.

Plumpness, yes. Morbid obesity, no. "Rubenesque" never stretched to 400 pounds at a height of 5'3".

Yes, alone -- still sounds like Option 2 to me...

The most successful people have a tendency to be assholes, anyway -- and let's not pretend the morbidly obese are by and large (Get it? Large?) angels, either.

Hey Fatboy I'm sick of your sick shit being posted here. Just because you like fat chicks don't bring us all down to your lard hell.

This is the kind of crap I'm talking about. Why do I have to be subjected to this shit day in and day out? Now Stinkfoot is posting crap pics like everyone else.

You need a fucking dentist.

I'm sick of the twisted shit I have to see here. Where is the damn moderators and why aren't they doing thier jobs. This shit is sick.

True, but a 5'3" person weighing 400 pounds probably has some genetic issues as well as eats too much too often or eats too much calorie dense food. While you might think that bolsters your argument to cull them from the herd, I don't agree with that either. There is more to a person than how much they weigh. I'm not talking about having a pretty face and a nice personality either.

In your world that might be true but not all people have the fat aversion you do.

It is true that fat people can be assholes too. However, while it may be your experience that most successful people have a tendency to be assholes, it isn't mine. I know many truly successful people who are wonderful, warm, friendly, loving people as well as highly intelligent, successful in their own business or employed in prestigious high paying careers, happily married with great relations with their children, active in their communities in leadership roles or as volunteers, etc..... And, they are all that marvelous no matter what they or anyone else weighs.

Oh, cool. You've just shown me yet another way in which I am blessed. Thanks!

Not to mention the attitude that, "It's okay!" It's not okay. Maybe being an enabler is fun, maybe having one is fun. More accurately, it's easy and it's uncaring. "Sure, you've got a 'disorder', go right on ahead and exacerbate it until you have to be craned out of bed to get to an ER to deal with your overstressed internal organs. It's okaaaaay." No it fucking isn't.

Never said it should be done. Said it is done.

Sure, and there's more to a person with a crack addiction, too. Why are drug interventions all right but obesity is something we should turn a blind eye to? If it's a disorder, how is it morally responsible to not urge treatment? If it's an addiction, how is an intervention cruel?

The majority obviously do, or there wouldn't have been a backlash of permissiveness.

Alpha wolves lead the pack, in humans as well as the animal in the analogy. Alpha wolves don't get to lead the pack without ripping out a few throats along the way. Just because they're content and happy once they've got there doesn't mean they didn't leave some blood along the way.

Oh, cool. You've just shown me yet another way in which I am blessed. Thanks!

Always happy to help. ;)

Zaftig sounds like hefty. Anyway, this thread was never supposed to be about ridiculing fat people. It's about ridiculing fat people who pretend they aren't fat.

Interesting. Who is fat and is pretending not to be? How does one pretend not to be fat?
