So much for progress...

It's been more than a week, and not a single peep over Rhea's blatant violations of the rules. OVER A WEEK! This I shat not ever forget, or forgive. There is NO excuse for this. :po: :y_sad: :y_mad: :pissed: :y_no: :rwmad:

Just checked... should be in four or five days. (not sure where they start counting)

Watch then though, they kept me banned for a couple days after I was supposed to be back. :D

Interesting how silent any mod or admin has suddenly become too. That's why I left EI. The fucking board can't be run evenly and fairly. If I were LoP, I would get rid of eryn, and a few other mods. And I'd bad Rhea for being a goddamned troll to anyone who doesn't agree with HER POV. But hey, I'm just a mere EI'er. My opinions and feelings mean nothing, so none of that shit ain't going to happen. :roll:
 
Have you considered actually giving LoP your opinion on Exisle, say in a Pm, rather than just kvetching about it here on TK?

I know the LoP does read this board from time to time, but that's hardly a garantuee for anything.

Yes, actually I did send LoP a PM. And I got a response that was pretty much pointless. Got the "we'll look into it, but it may be a technicality" routine. Nothing happened. Hense, my kvetching. The squeakiest wheel gets the most grease as they say.
I know the LoP does read this board from time to time, but that's hardly a garantuee for anything.

I'm not looking for a guarantee, especially from EI at this point. I've been rubbed the wrong way with that board so many times, I lost count. This is yet another notch on the belt.

It never occurred to you that things are happening behind the scenes? Or must every possible action and reaction happen in the full glare of the light of day to be valid?
 
The point that I am trying to make is I shouldn't have to kvelch about anything. EI staff is supposed to know how to run a board by now. It's been around for three years, and some of the folks on staff (past and present) mod or perhaps admin other boards. Yet, there are so many holes in the moderation, that it's appalling. And no one really wants to listen. It's like "Hey guys, the Titanic is sinking!" and we get "Everything is fine folks, we're just adding a new indoor pool".

Nothing is happening behind the scenes. If it did, there would have been some kind of action. gsmonks was banned for a month, so mods are talking. But the issue of uneven moderation still rears its ugly head even in his suspension thread. That should be a wake-up call for the staff. Look at what people are saying and LISTEN. Don't ignore it like it's not there.
 
I apologise for the tone of my previous post by the by, it was confrontational and that wasn't my intent.

As for your other point, I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree about Exisle's resemblance to a sinking ship. More than that, changes are always happening, now probably more so than at most other times.

I just regret that you've come here to complain about the site, than to stay there and try to help fix it.

Leaving EI was very hard for me. But despite that, I felt I had to. I've been a member there since its beginning. Heck, I've been around since the original SSBBS days. I supported the staff so much in any way I could, and all I got was pretty much "stuff it" from Appreciate, and another rather "lovely" comment from a different member of the staff. I'm tired of being ignored, or screwed over. A message board should be fun. It should be a nice place to be. If I wanted to surround myself with fake, back-stabbing ass-holes, I'd go to work. Not all members are like that. Most are not. But the few that are, are enough to really spoil the recipe if you know what I mean.

Well, looks like I'm right, Gode. I gave this about another week, and still nothing. Seen for myself I did, and things are still the same. If it hasn't happened by now, it won't happen at all.
 
Agreed.

Given that warnings for the wrong type are pretty much instantaneous, the favoritism shown to Rheatroll is obvious.

So if it doesn't happen by your timetable it won't happen at all? That's abrogating yourself quite a bit of authority isn't it?

No, it just illistrates the point.

A Karas call someone a liar, and BAM! ten seconds later the QSG mods slam him with a warning.

Rhea calls someone a liar and we point it out, it goes to the secret mod room for "weeks and weeks" of pointless discussion, till finally enough time has gone by so you can say "oh, sorry, too much time has elapsed, we should have warned but now we can't. Please don't do it again."

This is complete and total bullshit. If one person gets warned for calling someone a liar, then everyone who does that same offense should get a warning too. Its very, very simple, yet, you still somehow manage to fuck it all up.

It isn't by MY time table, Godeskian. It's been more than two weeks, and not a peep. I've even discussed this with LoP, and I only got a "we'll look into it" response, which is fine. But at this point, it seems all but forgotten.

Tell me this. If you call some one a "dumbass", and you get warned for it in less than 24 hours, and get a second warning in about a week for another, similar post, and then you see another member say the same thing, and call them illiterate and not get warned for it for WEEKS, how would you feel?
