Crassus looks perfect. The trailer that showed a bit of Caesar has started to win me over, but I still think that guy is a bit too much of an action hero type. It's not how I picture Caesar, anyway.

Crassus is PERFECT!

Great to see Arnie back on the screen!

Tiberius has the smoothest skin ever.

The effects looked very good. Especially the shot late in the episode where Sparty and co were standing on a hill looking down on their camp.

I'd like to think a few guys were wanking about the tits in the Gannicus sex scene only for it to unexpectedly segue into Agron and Nazir. lolz

Incidentally, wasn't Nazir called Tiberius originally? I think it was the name his master gave him.

Oooh, taking a city next... this is gonna be fun. :D
 
YES, it was fantastic! So much AAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I loved the scenes where the old gladiator was training Crassus. Crassus really is perfect, and Tiberius DOES have nice skin. I wonder if Tiberius and his friend make sexy time. OH and I guess the slave girl that attends Crassus is probably Crassus' lover also, based on the look on Crassus wife's face. I bet she gets killed sexily.

Navea didn't bug me so much as she had in past seasons.

And I hate to say this...I actually like Crassus as a character. Polar opposite of all the baddies before.
 
Only a quick flashback to Max being killed. But it's early days yet.

Maybe Madge will show up as an ancient dominatrix.
 
Oh that was GOOD. Caesar is weird though, the guy playing him doesn't really fit with the Caesar in my imagination.

And I might be in the minority with this, but how much longer can Sparty justify murdering innocent children? I know he saved those people, and I know these people would kill them in a heartbeat, but kids? He's still just allowing them to be slaughtered? Maybe I'm just sensitive right now.
