The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 (YES IT'S A FUCKING KIDS SHOW ALRIGHT)

The set-up was a bit lazy. "Okay, here's a mysterious man who's going to send our three characters into the past somehow to fetch some objects. No, we're not going to explain at all who he is or how the objects go to the past. Oh, and the world is GOING TO END for some reason!" And I'm not quite sure how the girl in the Sarah Jane part managed to open a door in the future using...fear? Or something. And why didn't the Nazis just, like, shoot Clyde and the other boy? The Rani part was good (NOT JUST BECAUSE OF HER DRESS.) It was alright.

I still liked the shop guy he was all "HEY *clickity click* LET'S TRAVEL THROUGH TIME!"

and then "OHHH NOOO CAPTAIN IT'S ALL GOING WRONG *clickity click*"

Okay

Yeah, I got quite frustrated at the Nazis having machine guns but not using them. I suppose it's a restriction of kids tv that they're not allowed to show people shooting unless it's with alien energy weapons, but they really should've used them to open the church door near the end. Oh well.

Sarah Jane's acting when she was losing her mind was, um, interesting...

Evil Sarah Jane had big tits.

RANI IS SO FIT, FUCK.

Yeah, her acting was very interesting indeed. It was kind of hard to tell exactly what some of those facial expressions were supposed to be demonstrating, but it was a pretty good episode. More interesting than last week anyway.

I wonder if we'll see SANJAY today when Luke comes to visit?

SO part two was okay. The finale's are usuallly a bit disappointing and this one wasn't BAD but it wasn't the best of the season or anything. The total lack of any Clyni action annoyed me. Didn't really need to see Luke, did we?

GOOD SERIES OVERALL.

I didn't mind seeing Luke too much until he started eyebrowing again. Also, I noticed he doesn't seem to blink.

Well, maybe no real Clyni action, but it's pretty obvious what Clyde wanted to tell her on his phone message before he passed out.

It was a reasonable finale, anyway. Thingy from Survivors was a good choice for a younger, better, stronger Sarah Jane and I liked the bit where Rani was crying and her mum said she was jealous sometimes. Of course, every finale has to end with a slightly patronising "aliens won't stop trying to destroy the earth, but we'll always be here to defend it" thing, followed by a shot of the planet.
