yeah! Fuck EI!!!
Shame on you. You should know better than this. You're leaping to bizarre conclusions about my opinions on immigration without me even giving them. Perhaps it's an attempt to put me on the defensive with absurd accusations so you won't have to discuss facts. Whatever the reason, let's go over what I've said and see how you arrived at your conclusion. Class is now in session, please sit down, Mr Nixon.
This is me explaining the difference between a race and a nationality.
This is me making an observation (without any sort of judgment in the matter whatsoever) about ownership of a certain chain of convenience store.
This is my twofold attempt to have apples compared with apples, and secondly questioning the relevance of activities 150+ years ago with the situation today.
This is me debunking the absurd idea of communal guilt.
Now, which of these statements bears even a passing resemblance to the strawman you so hastily constructed when your attempt at white guilt failed?
This is you,
a) being so amazingly dull-witted that you can't tell the difference between an earnest effort to engage you on all of the above silliness, and a satirical piss-taking
b) not grasping that even if you could qualify it as a straw man argument (see A), it was all your empty soapboxing would've merited
c) not knowing the difference between "debunk" and "disagree"
d) defensively cherrypicking and quoting your own truculent posts in response to my "attempt to put you on the defensive" ound:
e) overreacting
f) being owned:

I know the animated smiley at the end was a kind of distracting, so I won't fault you for not reading the rest of his post.
He did make a pretty good point about your arguments being moronic and unfounded, though.
Also, Dirk. Mexicans are a race in and of themselves. They look different than their Spanish ancestors. Their culture, language, monetary system, and genetics are different. They speak a pygmy Spanish that is barely comprehensible to natural Spanish speakers. They are, for all intents and purposes, a different people entirely.
Each region of the planet produces unique human beings.
Oh? How so? Explain to me which of my arguments are "moronic" and "unfounded"?
Archibald already covered that angle, sorry.
What Dirk meant is that Mexico, like the US, is a multiracial society. Most Mexicans are descended primarily from Meso-Amerind peoples, with a small bit of Spanish and African thrown in. These three basic races (Indio, Blanco, Negro, respectively) mixed to form the castas (Mestizos, half native and half white being the most prominent). Mexican, like American, is just a nationality; race exists as an independent variable.
I am against having to choose between any other language and English in order to transact business in America.
I do not care how many languages a person speaks. My concern is that English speakers in this country are being forced to speak Mexican in order to do business and hold jobs. All other immigrants and conquered peoples in this country have had to adopt English, which is the common language of the land.
Only recently have the Cherokee required their young to learn the tribal language in school. My first husband is Cherokee and his family speaks English. Don't know about the Sioux.
What do you call the Mexicans that come to this country and refuse to learn to speak English? Do you call them bigoted racists too? Oh no - that would make you a bigoted racist.
And, Obama is a half black person. Are you bigoted against half black people? Should he be ashamed that he is half black?
this is by far one of the stupidest things you've ever said, and that's saying a lot.
i;m not going to go yeah you're a bigot or stupid in general or racist or anything like that but you should really read over this statement. people are let in without needing to learn the language that doesn't make them racist or bigoted.
now if after you left they said something about how white women are horrible customers and bitches and stuff then you might've had something
Care to defend why you think the idea of communal guilt is logical and relevant?
We should indeed feel guilty for the actions of our ancestors if we continue to visit injustices upon the victims and do nothing to rectify those oppressions.
Nothing yet? You had time for Robert. Are you using an electron microscope?
I'll check in before work tomorrow.
