WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Imperium helps Judgement Day beat Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

Beating The Usos for the undisputed tag team championships at WrestleMania was a huge moment for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. It was not, however, the end of the duo's struggles against The Bloodline. On Monday night, The Bloodline conspired with other groups to try to soften the champions up ahead of their Night of Champions clash with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. With Judgement Day already set to face Owens and Zayn in the main event, Bloodline advisor Paul Heyman struck a mysterious deal with Gunther and Imperium. At the end of the night, it was Imperium who tipped the scales in the favor of Judgement Day, resulting in a disappointing loss for Zayn and Owens.

That continued on Monday night when Lesnar brutally attacked Rhodes twice during Raw, sending Rhodes into Saturday's rematch at Night of Champions with an injured arm. WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Seth Rollins fends off Damian Priest to retain world heavyweight title

When he won the world heavyweight championship at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins vowed to be a fighting champion. He lived up to that promise on Monday night, defending his title against Damian Priest in the main event of Raw. Priest was surprisingly grateful for the opportunity, complimenting Rollins for the guts it took to accept his challenge and going as far as to agree that Judgement Day would not be at ringside for the match. However, the uglier instincts of the group won out and left Priest frustrated when they didn't follow his plan to face Rollins one-on-one.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Brock Lesnar attacks Cody Rhodes, accepts SummerSlam challenge

With SummerSlam set for Aug. 5, WWE needed to start getting some matches officially booked for the show. They did that in a big way during Raw on Monday night in Atlanta. The show kicked off with a promo from Cody Rhodes, calling out Brock Lesnar for a match at SummerSlam. That move backfired as Lesnar brutally attacked Rhodes, locking him in a kimura twice in front of Rhodes' mother. Rhodes did ultimately get his wish, however, with Lesnar accepting the challenge and a rubber match between the two being made official for the pay-per-view. Two other matches were made official for SummerSlam, with Seth Rollins defending his world heavyweight championship in a rematch against Finn Balor and Ronda Rousey squaring off with former friend and tag team partner Shayna Baszler.

  • Jey Uso opened the show with a promo, making his return to Raw after Cody Rhodes announced the move during Payback. He was interrupted by Sami Zayn, calling back to their Bloodline history. After some tense moments, Zayn said that while not everyone in the locker room is happy he is there, Zayn is. Zayn offered a handshake after saying he was proud of Uso's actions in leaving The Bloodline. Uso didn't accept it before revealing he was just joking before the two shared a hug. Later in the show, Adam Pearce told Uso the locker room may have more problems with him because SmackDown would get compensation for him coming to Raw and depending on who it is, some may have issues with the move. Dominik Mysterio would also offer a spot in Judgment Day to Uso late in the show.
  • Seth Rollins arrived at the building and was confronted by Adam Pearce, who said medical told Rollins to not be at the show after the injuries to his back caused by Shinsuke Nakamura. Rollins insisted that he was fine, leading to Ricochet telling Rollins he appreciated his attitude but didn't need to carry the full show on his own, which Rollins blew off.
  • The Viking Raiders def. Drew McIntyre & Matt Riddle via pinfall after putting Riddle through a table with Ragnarok. The finish came after Kofi Kingston ran in and attacked the Raiders before accidentally hitting Riddle with Trouble in Paradise. • JD McDonagh def. Sami Zayn via pinfall with a roll-up. The match came about when McDonagh tried to continue working his way into Judgment Day, giving Damian Priest a new version of the Money in the Bank briefcase. WWE Raw results: Live recap, grades as Rhea Ripley defends the women's world title against Raquel Rodriguez

Dominik Mysterio was the key to Judgment Day's success at the recent WWE Payback event, interfering in multiple matches to help his teammates win. Mysterio won't be able to repeat those tactics during Raw on Monday night where he will be banned from ringside as Rhea Ripley defends the WWE women's world championship against Raquel Rodriguez in a Payback rematch. Ripley was among those Judgment Day members who enjoyed a bit of help from Mysterio at Payback. Mysterio made his presence known late in the match, providing a vital distraction for Ripley to score the win and retain her title. On this past Monday's edition of Raw, Rodriguez announced to Ripley that she'd been granted a rematch for the title -- and with the stipulation that Mysterio would be banned from ringside. Of course, Mysterio isn't the only member of Judgment Day and Rodriguez could get an assist from Damian Priest and Finn Balor -- who won the WWE undisputed tag team titles at Payback, also with an assist from Mysterio.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Jey Uso turns down Judgment Day offer, loses main event to Drew McIntyre

Since Cody Rhodes brought Jey Uso to Raw, the locker room has been divided on whether the former Bloodline stalwart could be trusted. On Monday night, Uso delivered a message in his own defense by turning away the advances of Judgment Day in the main event of Raw. Uso had been courted by the members of Judgment Day since joining Raw, with locker room members such as Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre doubting Uso could keep himself from again turning to the dark side and aligning with a heel faction. While losing to McIntyre, Uso delivered a firm "no thanks" to those advances by hitting superkicks on Damian Priest, Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Judgment Day beats Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in chaotic main event

The three male members of Judgment Day entered Raw on Monday night with plenty to lose. In the main event, Damian Priest and Finn Balor managed to retain the WWE undisputed tag team titles in a rematch with former champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. • Tegan Nox def. Natalya via pinfall with The Shiniest Wizard. WWE Raw results: Live recap, grades as Judgment Day challenges Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso for tag titles

Judgment Day's dominance over the Raw locker room took a hit at Fastlane when Finn Balor and Damian Priest lost the undisputed WWE tag team championship to Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. The duo will look to regain the titles when they get their championship rematch on Raw this Monday night. That move was met with resistance from many of Raw's superstars, but Judgment Day attempted to court Uso to join their group. Uso eventually rejected Judgment Day's advances, leading to the Fastlane title bout and being crowned tag team champion. Another title match is also set for Monday, which is Raw's season premier, as Gunther will defend his intercontinental championship against Bronson Reed in what is sure to be a bruising affair.

WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Judgment Day overreach, lose momentum ahead of Crown Jewel

Rhea Ripley proclaimed Judgment Day as the driving force behind WWE Raw, but they face fierce opposition. It was a rough day at the office for the villainous stable thanks to the combined might of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Ripley, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor and fringe faction member JD McDonagh were a constant presence through Monday's show, but generally found themselves on the losing end. It was a tough outing for a group working to spread their influence across Raw, SmackDown and NXT. The Judgement Day had more on their hands than Rhodes, Uso and Zayn. The group also had to contend with world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins and aerial specialist Ricochet. It's possible the group is spreading themselves too thin with their ambitious takeover of WWE.
