I heard that Rizzoli & Isles will have a crossover this season with Franklin & Bash, wherein Breckin Meyer bends Angie Harmon over a judge's bench and enters her violently.
I found the second episode kind of boring. Maybe I was distracted, I dunno, but it didn't hold my attention very well. The Alpha of the Week had a cool power and I liked the idea that he thought everyone else could do the same thing as him, but there wasn't any real sense of jeopardy for the other characters or any sense of why their objective was important. It was clear that whether the guys in suits or the Alphas caught him, he was either going to be killed, or go somewhere so bad that he'd wish he was.
I hope Alphas isn't just going to be alpha of the week ALL THE TIME. I don't think I can take another show like that. There seems to be lots of shows adapting the cop procedural format to whatever genre, I DON'T LIKE IT. Science fiction should be more imaginative than that, IMO.
I like how they spend the first half hour rehashing over and over again how the "bad" Alpha's power worked, and then had like 5 minutes of the good alphas actually using their powers. Very much like Heroes, circa season 3.
Oh, I gotcha, KKC's character, Don. I think he'll be in subsequent eps, they showed him in the promo for tonight's episode. I actually like the latina chich who is ostensibly his replacement. She was good on Dexter and in a recent episode of The Glades.
Yeah, really good ep. It's the second in a row where the Alpha has had a similar power to one of the team, only stronger, but that didn't spoil it. I was really surprised they killed off CKR, but it added the emotional impact and peril that I thought was missing last week.
This week's was okay. I liked the evil Autistic Girl (OR IS SHE THE REAL GOOD GUY!?) Black Guy is a pretty bad actor like BDM said and it's funny that his power is basically just kicking doors in. I'm sure everyone on IMDB will hate it becasue they're racist against aspfucks, but the Gary actor is probably the best one on the cast.
I agree about Gary. He is the most interesting one, and the actor really puts a lot of effort into being Gary.
I think Dr Rosen is beginning to wonder about his own role in all this. I think he'll come to think that what he's doing isn't always moral or right. He'll either have to find a way to justify what he has the team doing, or he'll end up trying to keep Alphas free.
