Don’t look now, but the Carolina Panthers are tied for the NFC South lead.
Week-6: L Red zone woes keep Panthers from extending win streak against Bears

The Panthers entered Sunday's game ranked 26th in the NFL in red zone TD scoring at 53.8%. They scored on all four trips inside the 20 on Sunday. That wasn't enough to upset Kansas City, the NFL's second-highest-scoring team, which held on for a 33-31 victory.
Week-10: L QB Teddy Bridgewater injures knee in loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers 46-23
Bridgewater, 28, opened the game with 12 straight completions and two touchdown passes as Carolina played to a 17-17 halftime tie. He added a touchdown run on a scramble in the fourth quarter after the Panthers (3-7) were outscored 12-0 in the third quarter en route to their fifth straight loss.
Week-11: W Panthers backup P.J. Walker shows he's good enough to beat the Lions 20-0
Walker completed 23-of-43 pass attempts for 258 yards and a touchdown. Walker also threw two bad interceptions in the red zone on which the Detroit defender looked like the intended receiver. The Lions were so bad offensively that they punted four times in the first half against a Carolina team that forced only two punts in the last four games combined.

Kansas City, Green Bay, Baltimore, Seattle lead Pro Bowl selections
The Carolina Panthers were among five teams without a Pro Bowl player, the others being the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys.
Hall of Famer Kevin Greene, third all-time in sacks, dies at 58 Green played 15 seasons in the NFL for four teams: the Los Angeles Rams (1985-1992), Steelers (1993-1995), Carolina Panthers (1996, 1998-99) and San Francisco 49ers. He was All-Pro in 1994 and 1996.
Why Panthers decided to move on from GM Marty Hurney
Was there a power struggle with Matt Rhule? Will Rhule end up being his own GM? Do they regret giving Christian McCaffrey the huge deal? Should the Panthers make drafting a first-round QB a top priority?
Christian McCaffrey (quad) is listed as doubtful on the Panthers' game day status for Sunday. But he hasn't practiced all week and the team is off Friday so as coach Matt Rhule said earlier in the week he isn't expected to play.
Panthers OC coordinator Joe Brady isn't into making excuses, and he's not here. But there's no denying his scheme would have been more effective had running back Christian McCaffrey not missed 11 games, with No. 12 likely Sunday against Washington. “When your best football player there's obviously a difference. When he's on the football field defenses have to know where he is all the time. . . . When Christian's on the field it is a big difference.''
Panthers defensive coordinator Phil Snow on how the game plan changes against Washington if DE/OLB Brian Burns (knee) doesn't play as expected: “He's a dynamic guy and we use him in a lot of roles. It kind of limits what we can do. The package won't be as full because of his versatility.''
Panthers players had tremendous respect for former coach Ron Rivera, who will be on the opposite sideline on Sunday at Washington. Cornerback Donte Jackson still believes in Rivera's mantra, "Control your inner Ape.'' That turned into one of the many T-shirts Rivera had on a weekly basis. Jackson says he still has them all.
